[W:720, 995]Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers’ and ‘Suckers’

Re: Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers’ and ‘Suckers’

Report: Trump disparaged US war dead as ‘losers,’ ‘suckers’" - Military Times

The allegations were first reported in The Atlantic. A senior Defense Department official with firsthand knowledge of events and a senior U.S. Marine Corps officer who was told about Trump’s comments confirmed some of the remarks to The Associated Press, including the 2018 cemetery comments.

The president has repeatedly disparaged the intelligence of service members, and asked that wounded veterans be kept out of military parades, multiple sources tell The Atlantic.

Figures. He threatened to disown his son when Donald Jr. mentioned that he was thinking of joining the military.

Our Command in Chief. God help us.

Before I read all the posts in here save me some time. Did his usual loyal supporters come in here to defend this?

The Republican Party can never, ever again pretend to be the one that supports the military after supporting this vile anti-military slob.

He claims that he was there and the comment was never made. Others who were there say the same thing.

Trump says many things which can be verified to be true and criticized without making stuff up.

link? The non visit to the cemetery in France was in 2017. Years before Bolton joined the administration. Show me a credible link to convince me that you're not lying through your teeth.

Re: Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers’ and ‘Suckers’

So now we're supposed to believe unnamed sources? Because FOX news never, never puts out lies like the Seth Ritch conspiracy.

Not that a comment like yours was unexpected, but you already are believing unnamed sources.
And Bolton was named.

Because other people who were there said that never happened.

Correct. Even the media people who were there said that there was no mention of that then.

It appears that this is just another attempt by DNC supporters in the media to smear Trump. Just like how they misrepresented his comment about urging people to vote twice.

The media is dishonest and untrustworthy.

It's just a lie. Trump never said that. Not one person has said he did.

This is just trying to cover up that Joe Biden pisses on the graves of American troops and has said they all deserved to die. But you're ok with that, aren't you?

What a piece of **** comment, even awful by your usual piece of **** standards. Joe Biden's now dead son served in the military, unlike your piece of **** crush Trump and his piece of **** sons. Joe Biden never once said they all deserved to die. What the **** is wrong with you?

You aren't worth the points I would get to say what I think right now.

And isn’t it funny how it didn’t come up at the time? The desperation is palpable.

That's called citogenesis.
"Circular reporting, false confirmation, or citogenesis is a situation in source criticism where a piece of information appears to come from multiple independent sources, but in reality comes from only one source."

Your link is called Foxinosis - believing everything you hear on FOX.

And there's no telling how much Congressional funding for the military that Trump stole for his vanity wall.

AP is the most respected source in thus country

No it wasn't.

Reading through this, I think he said the comments that were claimed. However, I do think it is possible that they were separate from or at least that it is overstepping to say that was why the trip to the cemetery was canceled.

We all should know Trump very well would say things like that. And the Atlanta article states those statements were not made together and doesn't say they were made at the same time as the decision to not go there.

Could those statements have influenced the final decision to not go? Yes. Were they really the reason? Probably not. I am inclined to believe they were said however.

When you counter with your own unnamed sources, why are yours more credible?

I believe this story is true because I remember the non-cemetery visit when he made lame excuses about the helicopter not flying in the rain and the secret service wouldn't drive him. Really? I believe this story because of his disrespect for John McCain, whom he disparaged for being captured. I remember his disrespect for a gold star family. This is just more of the same. If Trump never asked General Kelly what was in it for his son, why hasn't Kelly come out and said so? We know Kelly was there. He could clear this all up. If it were false, I have no doubt he would do just that.

My maternal grandfather was wounded in the battle for Argonne Forest Sept. 26-Nov.11, 1918.

**** you Donald Trump.

As did my late father who just died with the last year at age 94. As a nineteen year old kid he spent the better part of 1944 & 45 in German prison camps.

What you said to Trump goes triple for me.

We just don’t believe every unsubstantiated claim. I’ve seen Trump show nothing but respect and pride in our military. Yes, he was a dick to McCain but it was mutual and it wasn’t anything I hadn’t seen Dems say when McCain ran against Obama.

Please provide a link to Democrats calling McCain a loser or saying they don't like people who were captured.

I remember him disrespecting John McCain, but that’s about it.

He disrespected all the POWs...not just McCain. He said he didn't like people that were captured.

My uncle was in the Bataan Death March. I'm glad he isn't alive to see what a piece of **** his choice of political parties supported and installed in the Oval Office. He's rolling in his grave right now.

If he were talking about more than just McCain at the time. I'd be willing to believe you at that point.

If he'll say it about one, he'll say it about all of them. Trump is not a subtle man.

Donald Trump, Human Parasite, Has Also Said Soldiers Missing In Action Should Be Left for Dead | Vanity Fair

In one account, the president told senior advisers that he didn’t understand why the U.S. government placed such value on finding soldiers missing in action because they had performed poorly and gotten caught and deserved what they got, according to a person familiar with the discussion.

We've heard enough from Trump over the years to make anecdotes like this entirely believable.
