Media reports say the home was specifically targeted, it does not sound random.

Law enforcement is trained to face danger every time they suit up.

Nobody else should have to fear for their life for doing their job. Pence's family had to move hotel to hotel after J6. Kinzinger's wife was threatened. Hutchinson had to hire bodyguards and go into hiding.

This is not how democracy is supposed to work. It's unconsciousable to defend any of it.

Nancy has full time capitol police security. So, to the contrary, had she been home, the attacker would likely be dead.

Goes to show you that MAGAs don't do their homework. Anyone would have learned with a few clicks of the mouse that she has 24/7 protection.

In my experience, some demographics aren't really big on educating themselves before speaking/writing. It's not really their thing.

Not yet. Could be specifically targeted because it looked like a richer target to rob and was staked out for that? I dunno at this point.
