Anyone have a recipe for turtle soup that I can send to Chuck Schumer?

Well Good Morning USA!!!! Still too close on the Ossoff race but looking good. Congrats to Warnock . Watching Mitch being kicked to the curb would be so satisfying! Here is hoping!

No way. The race still is too close to call. We are still waiting for the Associated Press to call it.

I looked at 538's election updates. They all "called" Ossoff and Warnock the winner around 10:20pm (eastern time zone) last night. The reason was simple: the majority of votes not to be counted were in the largely African American and urban communities. These all broke for Democrats by at least an 80% clip. It's highly unlikely that Perdue will regain the lead. There would have to be a large batch of uncounted votes in red counties.

Looks like Graham's prediction of the GOP being doomed by Trump are coming true before our very eyes.
Wonder who Graham will attach himself to now? Biden? Cruz? Hawley? Maybe he will become a fully independent thinker. Nah.

That's right Kelly, make your last official act as a senator a rejection of your OWN states electoral votes... LMAO...

If you say so???
Ossoff is ahead over 16,000 points.,
Warnock ahead by over 53.000.

It's not official official, but mathematically, it is extremely improbable for a "comback" for Perdue. We would need to see a different trend line happening in the blue areas of Georgia.

Yeah, but regardless Schumer now runs the Senate - we control the floor & set the agenda. That a really, really, big deal. Just start with nominations, if you don't believe me.? Biden's nominations are now automatic, if they are reasonable. Ditto for judges. And D.C. & P.R. statehood is ours, if we so choose.
You are a bit optimistic, on the nominations of cabinet officers and judges this is true, but legislation will still need to clear 60 votes, so no P.R and DC statehood.

Lame duck donnie chimes in... pathetic...

Georgia law is the difference must be over half of one percent to avoid a recount. I also read on CNN there were technical problems in Dekalb County and they have to finish counting early in-person votes manually today.

If Jon Ossoff could have been declared the winner last night, why are we still waiting for that to happen?

why is warnock doing better than ossoff. Were there pedue warnock voter?
I find that puzzling as well. Did people actually vote split ticket? O did they only vote for one democrat and leave the second race unvoted?
Hard to figure.

My guess is some people refused to vote for Loeffler. She was appointed to fill a seat so she's a weaker candidate than Perdue.

That...and sadly I suspect there’s still a bit of sexism in play in the red parts of Georgia

Truly, it is childish. And yet, when push came to shove, the man delivered for us when it counts. If a better non-Trump Republican comes along to primary him, I might consider voting for him or her. But until such time I will vote for the man who helped keep our farms alive.

And the counter point to that would be - why does that mean he should be re-elected? Surely there is another candidate who could also have accomplished the positive aspects without the plethora of negative aspects.

Right? They don’t mind making money off their sick and dead so much as long as there’s a penis dangling somewhere from the offender, eh?
