[W:#23,579]Ukraine War Thread

Aren't the Russians already using them along with phosphorus? I say if they are using them all bets are off on the battlefield with no civilians around.
Both are using cluster mines. I think it is Thermite and another compound, which burns hotter, burns thru steel

If it wasn't so sad to see the loss of life I would laugh at them like it was a slap stick routine.
The more I understand Russian mentality, my sympathy levels have dropped to nil
I said some time ago, it will take a lot more dead Russians before this war ends
Posted an article, good read

Not necessarily, I noticed that the collapsed portion is on what is now dry land. It may be able to build an offramp on the existing portion still on dry land.
As did I, easily filled

Is this what our Putin supporters aspire to?

I still don't like to see pain, trauma, and death inflicted on a fellow human being. I also don't believe that all the Russians are bad. For all we know some of them are there because they protested the war. But yes the reality is there needs to be enough causalities inflicted on the Russians before they finally break and retreat.

Must be interesting back story on the gal below. Apparently a SGT in Ukraines territorial forces, speaks perfect english, has an Anglo maiden last name. In any event a nice short video to her fans...

What country is he from? Surely Blumenthal is not a Russia or even eastern European name.
I am sure the name is multinational

Nor do I, but soldiers dying is the reality
I also don't believe that all the Russians are bad. For all we know some of them are there because they protested the war.
Neither do I
But yes the reality is there needs to be enough causalities inflicted on the Russians before they finally break and retreat.
Correct

Do you think they are naive enough to believe that?

Maybe someone ought to mention that surviving wounded and others who escaped wounding to complete their contract are estimated to be around 30,000. They have been pardoned and are now committing a lot of hideous crimes, including murders.

The only side who has sent missiles on the grounds of the nuclear power plant is Ukraine.

LOL Problem is Russians blow up their own positions, blow up their own pipelines, shell their own POW camps, all so they can blame Ukrainians; we are led to believe

Story on very recent attempt on Putin's life, foiled by his secret service.

While I follow some Russians and there first generation western children, I find it impossible to like the typical Russian in today's Russia. I'm sure there are millions who are rationale and humane people, but there are many more who are 21st century knuckle draggers, little more than indoctrinated baboons whose simple minded world view hasn't changed since 1989 and whose exposure to western values and humane treatment has hardly dented their admiration of Russian entitlement and savagery.

"We want it, its ours" is the cry of the 5 year old whose inability to see the world as anything more their property, a place to loot - it is burned into their national character - something that won't change unless and until Russia as a state is eradicated and its people occupied by the civilized people for at least a generation or two.

Since occupation is costly and unrealistic the best we can do when the war is over is contain the Orcs and their Mordor. A wall of overwhelming military preparedness and an ability to lay total and complete destruction upon every square inch of this mutant state. "Not one step forward" ought to be the warning to all of Russia.

Russia must be treated as the vile outcast of humanity, and every Russia citizen should know why they have earned it.

Multiple explosions rock occupied Berdyansk, Ukrainian military says it struck airport (NVU, via Yahoo!)

A series of explosions occurred in the Russian-occupied city of Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhya Oblast on the morning of June 30, Telegram channel Berdyansk Today reported.

Over 10 explosions were allegedly heard and columns of smoke were seen rising over the city. Video of the smoke soon began to circulate on social media.

Blasts were also reported in the villages of Osypenko and Novovasylivka.

"Berdyansk residents heard both missiles and air defenses (operating)," Berdyansk Today reported.

Citing reports from locals, Berdyansk Today stated that an explosion that occurred a few kilometers from the airport caused "a strong recoil on the ground, so the hit could have been somewhere there."

The Armed Forces of Ukraine later confirmed in a post on Facebook that the Ukrainian military had carried out a strike on the airfield in the suburbs of Berdyansk.

According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian military is continuing its offensive toward Melitopol and Berdyansk.
The day before, the Defense Ministry said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had advanced 1.3 kilometers on the Berdyansk axis.

If true, it finally looks like they may be getting somewhere.

I can no longer access Twitter at all. Nonetheless, this appears to be an SOF operation in preparation for an armored thrust - identifying and clearing mines and forward MANPADs, hoping to catch some alligators unawares. Good tactics.

Musk changed twitter to not allow viewing unless one is registered with Twitter. Twitter users have been declining, and I doubt this will stem that tide. I, for one, will not be gangstered into becoming a registered user, so no Twitter for me.
