[W:#23,579]Ukraine War Thread

Which won't do much. Russia has pretty much bypassed all that.

It would do plenty. Moscow cannot dodge internal or external economics. The Russian state is constructed to function best when oil is above $100 bbl. It is barely functioning today with a $65 bbl cap. With a $45 bbl cap, Russia would soon become insolvent. And there are also around 5 large Russian banks that have not been sanctioned. Sanction them. And also threaten draconian sanctions on anyone buying Russian energy products, or supplying Moscow with weapons components or usable weapons.

At the end of the day the world needs oil and natural gas and there's little spare capacity.

There is plenty of capacity. It is resolve that is in short supply.

Good to see Bradleys still in action, helping repulse russian armored column assault near Avdiivka. Small combined arms action from Ukraine, multiple perspectives and narrated. 14 minutes.

Ukraine better

Ya like refineries that have a taste for certain kinds of crude.

A hellish battlespace... tanks, APC's, drones, mines, artillery, anti-tank rockets, cluster munitions, machine guns, etc. The Bradley's and Leopards are awesome.

It sounded like a female voice with the pinned down UKR troops.

I think the core of the problem is that neither Yermak nor Zelenskyy will kiss Emperor Trump's ring.

They both have law degrees, and hands-on experience (Zelenskyy-Kvartal 95 Production Company. Yermak-Garnet International Media Group.) in the entertainment industry.

>The United States is pressuring European allies to limit references to Ukraine in the final communique coming out of next week's NATO summit, according to several sources, a symbolic move that would signal a decline in support for Kyiv under U.S. President Donald Trump's administration. If the U.S. and other NATO members approve the draft, it would represent a departure from the strong statements of support for Ukraine issued at the end of the NATO summits held under former President Joe Biden after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.<

Another example of Donald Trump giving Vladimir Putin a hand job.

>In a move seen by diplomats as both petty and dangerous, Donald Trump will once again snub Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky – this time at the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague. It follows his early exit from the G7 in Canada, where he walked out before their scheduled meeting and left the Ukrainian delegation “frustrated and empty-handed,” according to Reuters. In effect, Trump is aligning with the Kremlin’s demands.<

Not satisified with a hand job, Putin demands a blow job from TACO and Trump puts on his kneepads.

>Russian troops were killed in a strike by Ukraine's forces on a convoy next to an abandoned gas station using a U.S.-supplied HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System). The Telegram channel ASTRA said the strike took place in Makiivka, within the occupied Donetsk region last week and posted video that purportedly showed the aftermath of burning vehicles on the side of the road.<

Tell Lucifer that Putin sent you.

>The Russian economy is "on the brink" of entering a recession, the country's economy minister warned on Thursday. Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a major annual business event in Russia, Maxim Reshetnikov said data showed the economy "cooling." When a moderator asked him to describe the state of the economy, he said it seemed that the country was "on the verge of going into recession," according to Russian news agency Interfax. Since the start of the war, Russia has gone all in on defense spending. It's on track to spend about $130 billion on defense, roughly a third of its federal budget, up from 28.3% in 2024. It's also potentially running low on cash, with one Swedish economist predicting that Russia could run out of liquid reserves as soon as this fall.<

Mr. Reshetnikov..... avoid high windows.
