[W:165] Bernie supporters: If Bernie doesn't win the nomination....

If Bernie doesn't win the nomination, will you vote for the candidate that does?

  • Total voters

Refusing to vote for the dem nominee just because your primary candidate doesn't win out in the end is a vote for Trump. Not two ways about this. This next election is Trump vs Dem nominee. Trumps voters WILL be out and voting strictly for Trump. Refusing to vote for the dem nominee, no matter who that person is, is a vote for Trump to have a 2nd term. Any person who doesn't support the dem nominee should not even begin to complain about Trump for the next 4 years as YOU put him there. You may not like it, but these statements are true.

I do hope Bernie gets the nomination. Why? Because I don't believe Americans are nuts enough to elect someone who is going to overturn our capitalist society that is doing well on the world stage.

I don't think the american people are going to reward a party who just tried to nullify the results of the 2016 election.

I think the American people will reward a party that just Impeached a corrupt president who was risking national security and bribing a foreign ally by withholding funds that were crucial in its defense against Russia. A traitor in the white house who committed this and other offenses for personal gain only.

I think the American people will reward a party that defends the constitution, the rule of law and this country's democracy, honoring their oaths by protecting this country from someone who is in bed with Russia and wants to rule here as a dictator instead of a President who serves and protects our country and its people.

Trump won the election thanks to the Electoral College and nothing else, he lost the popular vote and earned less votes than his opponent, Hillary Clinton. That has nothing to do with the Impeachment. His Impeachment was necessary because of the corrupt actions he was taking in the white house. He caused his own Impeachment because he is slimy and self-serving, and violated his oath of office.

Bernie supporters: If Bernie doesn't win the democrat nomination will you vote for the candidate that does?

Yes...with regrets and some reservations, but I WILL vote for the eventual nominee even if it's not Sanders.

Amazing...poll after poll after poll disproves the folklore that most if not all Bernie supporters WON'T support another Dem candidate. I think this is either the third or fourth poll asking the same question.

I just put up a PUBLIC POLL asking the very same thing.

And yet, no matter HOW MANY polls disprove the folk wisdom, people simply refuse to accept the results.

No, no and no!!! Noone cares about this sham of an impeachment. He's ACQUITTED forever!!!

Last time 10% of the Bernie Bro's voted Trump, this time it will be a lot higher, regardless of what Bernie says.

Hopefully Bernie will endorse Trump.

:lamo

That's already happened largely in part to the Democrats in 2016 running Clinton.

So, let's make it worse by reelecting Trump if your favorite candidate loses the primary? Seems sound. That will show the voters!!!

Keep in mind that of those who said 'no', there's literally only one (1) actual Bernie supporter among them all.

Though to be fair, there are quite a few people who aren't Bernie supporters that said yes, despite the thread being concerned with Bernie supporters per the OP.

If you vote for the Democratic candidate this November, even if it’s not Sanders, you can help to reverse that. If the candidate is Warren, Buttigieg or Sanders, and if either of these candidates win, they’ll rebalance the courts, either by packing them or rotating them.

FDR tried that already. It's already been shot down by the Supreme Court.

Congratulations, none of that was going to happen under a Democrat regardless.

But there at least was a chance to get some of his agenda enacted for supporting the candidate. If Trump wins, Bernie is done for. He will be way too old to have another chance. His agenda will depart with him unless he forms a lasting union with the democrats. At least that is my opinion because any democrat would be better than Trump.

This election is Dem nominee vs Trump. Reality exists no matter what delusion you live in. It isn't Sanders vs the world. You either vote for the dem nominee or you support Trumps 2nd term. Reality is those are the only 2 choices Americans have. Don't have to like it, but reality is what reality is. There is no 3rd choice in America.

It's IMO a selfish position. I don't remember the last time my primary pick was the nominee. Sometimes we get what we want, mostly we get less than ideal alternatives. Whining and insisting we get our way or we GO HOME!! is thinking like a teenager.

The thing that sort of kills me is if Bernie does ANYTHING it will be because he has a Senate and House full of Democrats willing to vote for his proposals. So the Bernie or Bust contingent better hope that this corrupt party they don't trust elects a 60-65 vote Senate and a 10 or 15 person majority in the House or the GOP will just block EVERYTHING, and that's if the judges already in place don't shoot the legislation down like they're trying to do with ACA.

So, yeah, IMO, we're all in this together on the left side of the aisle. Frankly I care very little about the Presidential nominee. Almost all that matters (assuming ANY Democrat wins) will happen in the House and Senate. If whoever succeeds Pelosi and/or Schumer sends e.g. Bloomberg a MFA bill, I bet he signs it. The damn near impossible thing will be getting MFA through the Senate, and so we ALL need to vote if that's what we want, and vote for whichever Democrat is running in whichever race, House, Senate or President.

Let's keep it real; there is no way Bloomberg would sign an MFA bill. This sort of thing is exactly what he's bought his way into the race to avoid; that and above all, any substantive increase to his taxes.

How do you know who is a Bernie supporter and who isn't? Did you ask to see their "bro cards" or something?
I'm a Bernie supporter and when he lost the primary I grudgingly voted for HRC.

It almost sounds like you're going to rule me out because I am "a Hillary supporter" because I didn't stay home or vote third party or write in and I didn't vote Trump out of spite.

A Bernie supporter is anyone who likes Bernie Sanders.
I like Bernie Sanders.

I checked their posting and poll history, and have seen their past posts and poll votation in my regular browsing (this is usually the basis for further investigation); how else?

There are also people like say JasperL who has made his opposition to Bernie as nominee explicit (even though he intends to vote for him if he's nominee).

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that that effort died in committee, not the courts.

Why don’t you quote people you talk about, Surrealistik? The more you people talk, the more REAL Democrats you lose, if Sanders is the nominee.

At this point, my state of Illinois is the only one of the eight Midwestern states Sanders will win, and not by much. The down-ballot damage from a Sanders candidacy will be catastrophic.

There’s NO difference between the scorched-earth campaigns of trump and sanders.

so you will help Trump

Un-****in' believable

He lives in the state of Washington, so he doesn’t matter in the general election.

Even if Sanders is the nominee, I doubt he and so many other bernie bros will even show up to the polls.

You're getting tiresome frankly, and to be honest, your posting is notably more deranged than even the worst Sanders supporter on this forum. Jasper certainly wouldn't contest that he's not a Sanders' supporter nor would Trippy Trekker.

Further, anyone is more welcome to look up the people who posted 'NO' in this poll and determine that they are not remotely Democrats, nevermind Sanders supporters. Slick probably comes the closest in that he genuinely likes Sanders, but he's not a supporter, and certainly not vs Trump, and he's not a Democrat.

If you're upset about people helping Trump by not voting for him, wait till you hear about the Democrats that vote and support his policies.

Nope, you're correct. I'm wrong.

Hillary isn't running this time. Sanders is. Do try to keep up. ;)

Looks like trump and barr are going to tie Romney to Burisma and Ukraine. This is what the bernie bros gave us, along with Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and the rest of the trump/mcconnell federal judiciary.

And that’s just for starters. You’ll not hear any of the bros criticize trump or republicans.

Moderate Democrats voted for Kavanaugh and Gorsuch without so much as a spine to stop Trump. Look inward and hold your party accountable instead of blaming people demanding better from their country.
