[W:1296] PUTIN FEARS COUP Russian tanks in Moscow to ‘secure Kremlin’ as cowering Putin fears Wagner group are launching coup to overthrow him

Perhaps this was staged to provide cover to end the war, make the military leadership the fall guys for the failure, and preserve the government.

That sounds crazy but you might be right. This would be a way to do it, and if so, whoever dreamed up that ruse deserves a medal.

The reports state that the Wagner Group that didn’t take up arms will be “folded into” the Russian military. How’s that going to work when they get their first paycheck?
As I said earlier who in the Wagner group did't take up arms? I think they are all implicated.

Yep, rhetoric, let me know when that happens. suggest you turn off the volume or channel when Trump is on since his rhetoric bothers you so much
"Former President Donald Trump called for the termination of the Constitution to overturn the 2020 election and reinstate him to power Saturday in a continuation of his election denialism..."

"Former President Trump on Saturday warned of “the biggest protest we have ever had” in the United States if prosecutors “do anything illegal” in their investigations into him and his businesses..."

Yeah just ignore what Trump calls for because it's 'rhetoric'. It had nothing to do with fermenting the MAGAs on 1/6  John Paul Jones', Martin Luther King's, Marshall Applewhite's, John F Kennedy's and Hitler's, rhetoric had nothing to do with motivating anyone. You can just ignore what Trump says until something 'happens'...

One doesn't simply walk into Moscow, say there will be a new president soon, then turn around and say just kidding. Similarly, one doesn't simply call the leader of an invading army a terrorist and traitor, then a few hours later agree to let bygones be bygones.

Either way, this looks very bad for Shoigu and Gerasimov. The agreement calls for major changes to the leadership at the MOD, so Putin was willing to throw them under the bus after all. It's hard to see how they come back from a public statement of no-confidence from Putin.
Shoigu and Gerasimov have been in their positions with Putin since Putin returned to the presidency in 2012.

Each has many commanders through the entire Russian armed forces chain of command who are loyal to 'em.

If Putin throws 'em under the bus he may turn to see a tank about one second close in and rolling over him. The Russian Army in particular is ravaged by Ukraine and NATO in Putin's war. Shoigu was a career civilian roads engineer when Putin appointed him minister of defense. Gerasimov is the career Soldier who with Prigozhin engineered Trump's success in 2016. The astute Gerasimov took his ques from social media during the Arab Spring to translate that against the United States -- Prigozhin added to the technical means and personnel expertise.

Russia is highly unstable at this time with Putin's USSR experience carried forward, ie, the intelligence services vs the military's interests. Prigozhin walking into Rostov for free and having a clear road and airspace to Moscow indicates that presently the Army has the advantage. So right now it's the Army that's standing right behind Putin at the bus stop.

You dreams are not very convincing. A tactical nuke will not stop Ukraine from fighting this war. It will cause an immediate NATO response which is why it will not be used. My worry is that the world's largest Nuclear power plant complex has been mined by Russia.
lol.. Ukraine is not NATO, there is no "immediate response" trigger. nor will even Biden/Repub warpigs want to get into nukes with Russia
The insane Russiaphobes ( if the shoe fits you wear it)
who want to attack Crimea would literally be a bridge too far for Putin to let that go unanswered however.

This Wager Guy has been calling for nukes -Putin hasn't used them. There is all kinds of speculation why Wagner now appears to have turned back. was there a deal to use a nuke?..anyways the sane thing to do is to start talks (backdoor 3rs party /anybody)
so Putin does have an off ramp, as an alternative to being boxed into nukes

Isn't there a desk you're supposed to be cowering under?
bravado is the last move for a dead man's miscalculation. Huff and puff out your chest.. see the brave one get mowed down.
When it comes to nukes the wise move is caution..why you aint so wise

That's what I think. This was a set up between Putin and The Cook to get rid of the MoD leaders and their cronies. Nothing else makes sense.
The Cook gets Belarus as payment.

IF Putin is out what will the replacement process be? Will it be peaceful or an armed struggle? Living in America looks a little better today does it not?
even a casual look at the bromide "better the devil you know then the devil you don't" should shut up this nonsense

Looks like Trump leaving Walter Reed:

I questioned the immediate jump to a coup as the motivation by Prigo from the beginning. His concern is the war and his
Wagner Group - not replacing Putin in Moscow. He was pissed the Russian military shelled his forces, misused them in battle, but only recently questioned the rationale for the wary..Nobody knows the deal, but it appears his gambit paid off.

We'll have to see if he gets back to the war, and how he operates. My guess is he wants more authority over the orders from Russian generals and wants Putin to give his complaints weight - increasing his ability to call the shots

Not having thousands of loose nukes and who knows how many bioweapons is an objectively good thing for the world.
Not having any Putin alive is even better.

THE SKY IS FALLING !!!

What's the difference? To be consistent you would have been pro-Vietnam as well. Was the US not fighting on the democracy side?

Since you're only here to (a) create troll threads and (b) fluff Putin, it is quite clear you know nothing about democracy nor do you support it so there is no point in debating or even discussing what our purpose was in Vietnam with you.

To be consistent you would have been pro-Vietnam, Period.

There will be no talks until the Russian army is out of Ukraine and Crimea is demilitarized. Any agreement must include the admittance of Ukraine into NATO too.

LOL We were fighting for the French speaking President of S. Vietnam. I would not call that pro-democracy. We had the misguided idea that communism was worse than imperialism. Vietnam is now our ally against China that is how misguided we were.
