Yesterday I posted that I was leaving the forum to take some time off from the constant Trump bashing leftists and plan on doing just that however after watching the SOTU and hearing the actual results which I have been posting for some time here and watching the Democrats sitting on their hands I found the following article that makes sense out of the past election and adds credibility to those of us who voted for Trump and are getting the results mentioned at the SOTU.
Alright, let's take a look at that article which "makes sense" shall we?
President Trump shows concern for blue-collar Americans.
No, he has voiced those concerns but he has shown he is more supportive of the wealthy and corporations. Not the blue collar worker.
Millions of Americans don’t see President Trump’s concerns over immigration as racist.
I don't think he is racist in this regard, I think he is ignorant and generalizes illegals way to the exteme. For instance, the dreamers pay taxes, they are a contribution to society and law abiding. It isn't their fault that they are here. Secondly, the wall is just plain idiotic and a waste of money. The problem with immigration is the companies and people that hire them. If Trump would spend even a quarter of his time going after the actual companies that hire illegals (and fining them SIGNIFICANTLY) than the problem would lessen.
Democratic economic policies have been very costly.
As Trump supporters are going to see, Trump's policies are going to be even more costly. The wall, trade wars, tax cut, it's all going to end up costing the government significantly in the end.
President Trump has the courage of his convictions.
Courage is not the word, stubbornness without the ability to say he is wrong and ego best describe Trump's "convictions". Courage is a soldier that goes into battle to save a wounded soldier. Courage is a fire fighter going into a burning building. What Trump does is not "courage" at all.
President Trump is working to project strength around the globe.
No, he isn't. His latest actions of not enforcing sanctions on Russia proves he isn't projecting strength but weakness. His actions with NK don't project strength, but just bullying and rhetoric.
The president speaks directly and clearly to the American people.
This is the only thing I will agree with. However, with that said he does so in the most unpresidential and temper tantruming way. He is the laughing stock around the world with his use of the English language. The drunk uncle at a family reunion best describes Trump "speaking directly and clearly" to the American people
Unemployment and a growing economy is not the result of Trump, but rather a continuation from years of trends. He's just managed not to screw that up so far although signs are pointing to the economy slowing down.
