But hey— the profits kept flowing into America, so clearly the U.S. didn’t see an issue with brutal tyrants oppressing the people of South Korea.

As usual.

Who knows? Maybe that was just a stage they had to go through on their way to development? Either way, they've got one of the most vibrant economies in the world today... and their neighbors to the North obviously don't.

Where would you rather live? North or South Korea?

Gee, a South Korean military dictatorship is not noticeably better than North Korea on any level.

Park Chung Hee was a vicious despot.

Sure.. but still better than Kim Il Sung... and at least his people realized benefits from the sacrifices they made under his regime, unlike their neighbors to the North where sacrifices only got them more sacrifices.

Oh really? Because the torture camps say otherwise.

The people of South Korea only “realized benefits” once they forcibly toppled their American backed tyrant.

If you truly think that, then you obviously have no concept of what you're talking about.
The mere fact American apologists are ever so desperate to defend the brutal dictators ruling South Korea is all the evidence I need, actually. The South Koreans don’t appear to believe they are “better off” under a pro American jackboot.

There’s a reason the people there were more than happy to forcibly oppose the coup attempt by a conservative leader who screeched about his opposition being North Korean agents.

Surely that isn't supposed to be some sort of argument. It's incoherent babble. Was that the effect you were going for?

Sounds like you need to learn how to actually read English, instead of blindly flailing.

I would say you can do it, but I don’t believe for a nanosecond you’ll ever work up the bravery to ever even try.

But hey, way to prove me right again

Or maybe you just don't make any sense?

Sorry. I'm just not fluent in Incoherent Babble.

For instance, I can't figure out where bravery fits into deciphering it.

“Brutal military dictatorship, American backed” not being better than “brutal dictatorship, Chinese backed” is not a complicated concept

Good thing my statement was pretty clear.

You purposefully choosing not to read so you could squeal personal attacks instead is really not my problem.

Oh look, a photos made decades after America’s pet dictators were chased from office.

Clearly that must mean the decades of US backed mass murder were worth it 🙄😂

These things don't happen overnight.

That may be true. I think those who volunteered were allowed choices they were capable of. Do you think so many would have volunteered if there was not draft hanging over their heads?

Probably not. Many young men chose ways to avoid the draft, including moving to Canada. One friend of mine from high school chose that route. It didn't bother me, there where more of us than necessary willng to serve for a few years, in my case 6 years.

There were no personal attacks.

“Incoherent babble”, for example, isn’t a personal attack?

Since when?

Since it directly (and accurately) referenced posts #135 and #137.

Post #137 did contain personal attacks, ironically enough. They came right through the babble.

What part of “The South Koreans don’t appear to believe they are “better off” under a pro American jackboot.”

And “there’s a reason the people there were more than happy to forcibly oppose the coup attempt by a conservative leader who screeched about his opposition being North Korean agents” is remotely “incoherent”?

I get you are frantic to avoid actually making an argument, but wailing personal attacks doesn’t actually contradict or change what I pointed out.

It's obvious that whatever thoughts you're trying to express are very important to you.
