I'm telling you, Obama is vastly undereducated. He lacks basic education, particularly history (I don't trust politicians who don't know their history); he's only well-read in the ideologies he espouses.
And yet he trounced his Republican competition. What does that say about his competition?
I remember when the Dems made the exact same arguments against Bush. "Bush is stupid, Bush is a simpleton, Bush can't give a speech".
And yet Bush kicked the Dem's asses. Twice.
holy cow...it did sound like that. my bad. too everybody.

uhm, it told us that McCain could not out obama, obama
he lost many of us on the right, I could not vote for the guy.
So who is a conservative you could vote for? For me obviously it's Ron Paul. And even he scares me quite a bit. But hell they all scare me...
There is no one currently that comes to mind right now as sad as that is.
I think some portrayed him as a moron, but it was not widespread. He frequently got credit for putting together a strong team, for having a down home type intelligence.
Further, the argument that since some one else was an asshole, so it's ok when our guys are assholes is getting old. Past behavior does not excuse current behavior.
Well are you looking for social or fiscal conservatives? Or someone who's both?
And yeah, I know. I feel your pain.
No, you're not "just sayin". This is a perfect example of hyper-partisan nitpicking. It's typical of people who cannot debate topics or provide any meaningful insight into anything on a message board.
I watched people do the exact same thing to Bush for 8 years. It was childish and silly then, it's childish and silly now.
Yea it might have been petty when done to bush but where were all the libs claiming it as such? No, they repeatedly said it proved bush was a moron yet when it's Obama it's nit picky for both? Whoa, I smell the stinch of a hypocrit. And it's overwhelming.
I know.... .Goshin is a raging liberal, you need to watch out for that one.... Me too. :ssst:
As much as I despise Obama, I have to agree. This sort of thing was 3rd-grade nyah-nyah level stuff when it was done to Bush, and it is still petty when done to Obama. There's pleny of substantial things to criticize Obama about, there's no need to resort to the level that the hyperpartisan leftists did during Bush's presidency.
While I can understand how longsuffering frustration over some of the petty crap that was thrown at Bush makes some want to throw the same petty crap back, it isn't worth losing your dignity over.
Yep. That's all it is. It's Bush people wanting "payback" against Obama. Now I understand that, but it's a waste of time. Hopefully someone will eventually take the high road and stop this nonsense.

Obama pronouced corpsman as "corpseman" twice within the same speech. That's not a slip; that's your president not knowing how to pronounce an everyday word, albeit a military word, which might just explain it right there.
No big deal, you say? Well, harken back to the endless rants about Bush and his "nuc-u-lar" and "tourist attack" mispronunciations - which I dogpiled on, too, because it was funny - and ask yourself, why so little is made by the left of Obama's absolute dependence on teleprompters and his obvious lack of basic high school knowledge of history and economics.
I'm just sayin'.

What is the President of a secular state doing at a "prayer breakfast"?
