WASHINGTON – The number of people in the U.S. who are in poverty is on track for a record increase on President Barack Obama's watch, with the ranks of working-age poor approaching 1960s levels that led to the national war on poverty.
Census figures for 2009 — the recession-ravaged first year of the Democrat's presidency — are to be released in the coming week, and demographers expect grim findings.

The policy that business (in this case Wall Street and the Banks are self regulating) is self regulating.It was under a Democrat Congress that the economy went south, big time. The addition of a larger Democrat majority and a Democrat president is causing it to go farther south, at a faster rate.
BTW, which one of Bush's policies caused the recession?

I'm sorry, but President Bush never would have let things get this bad! This president we have doesn't give a **** about people. What Obama is doing is not working, yet he keeps doubling down on failed policies. He wants us all dependent. That's the only answer I can come up with. He's not even the least bit embarassed about this or the thousands of people practically rioting a while back over applications for housing. He's an embarassment, and I'm embarassed that this great country has so many without housing and depending on food stamps etc. There's no excuse for it.
He's killed so many jobs, I don't know when we'll ever recover.

Your wrong when President Obama took over job losses started to go down;
The job losses bottomed out. It's not because of anything that goofball did.
The policy that business (in this case Wall Street and the Banks are self regulating) is self regulating.

Of course he doesn't care about the American people. Look at the drilling moratorium.

The President never really has that much affect over the economy. It is Congress. And frankly Congress for many years have done a terrible job, which lead us to where we are today.

Those people who have lung cancer can look back when they smoked like a chimney,which is good metaphor for what we have today.If you keep looking in the rear view mirror eventually you get into a wreck.
