US EPA tells stunned staff to just ignore the law and stop enforcing it

Wrong. Sanctuary cities are not tasked with enforcing immigration laws.

they stand in the way, hamper, disrupt, don't aid ...... they absolutely do everything they can to impede law enforcement

thus the name " sanctuary "

if you "know" then attach a link to prove it
He as much as said so. Who do you think they were stating that to....Gavin Newsom? This is what he tweeted Thursday.

"Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace"

"In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!"

The official said there will be “no change” in the current approach to deportations, adding that no carveout exists currently for farm, hotel or other migrant workers who are in the country illegally. The administration previously directed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement workers to avoid raiding farms, the person said, noting that agents have swept food production facilities. Immigration enforcement activity appeared to take place at two farms in California this week, however, as the administration escalated deportation efforts.

We'll see what comes of it - I'm unsure which direction Trump is going

I repeat, the only solution is to remove trump and Vance from power.

Subsequent to his statement he sent official guidance which HHS has acknowledged. His direction is clear. Defer to the employers.

“Effective today, please hold on all work site enforcement investigations/operations on agriculture (including aquaculture and meat packing plants), restaurants and operating hotels,” he wrote the message.

The email explained that investigations involving “human trafficking, money laundering, drug smuggling into these industries are OK.” But it said — crucially — that agents were not to make arrests of “noncriminal collaterals,” a reference to people who are undocumented but who are not known to have committed any crime.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the guidance.

“We will follow the president’s direction and continue to work to get the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens off of America’s streets,” Tricia McLaughlin, a department spokeswoman, said in a statement.

I am not really sure how the legal system is allowing this to happen. Are we even a nation of laws anymore?
We voted for lawlessness, so no

we'll see how Trump proceeds

again - I had my ideas on what I'd accept (to handle the millions here illegally) and I don't think a single liberal a one said "that's a good compromise"

you cannot compromise with liberal/left, its impossible

They have clearly stated and justifiable reasons to not report to ICE those illegals who report crimes or testify against criminals. This is not obstruction. Sanctuary comes from the Middle Ages notion that certain places (churches) were off limits to law enforcement. Illegals can be apprehended elsewhere. The interests of local or state law enforcement that may involve serious felonies outweigh those of immigration authorities enforcing the misdemeanor offense of illegal entry or overstaying a visa.

There is going on these days the absurdity of ICE apprehension of immigrants when they attend mandated court hearings for… attending mandated court hearings. Franz Kafka would be proud.

Apparently none of the workers in those trade...the ones he and the oligarchy find convenient, like for eating and comfort services...dont commit crimes or join gangs
