A top US official in the fight against the Islamic State group has quit over President Trump's decision to pull troops from Syria, reports say.

Brett McGurk, the US special presidential envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat IS, brought his departure forward from February.
=======================================
Another man with a far better understanding of the Mideast situation than Trump & the potentially catastrophic results of our pulling out has quit in protest.

The expression 'pulling out' is frowned upon by Conservatives for several fairly obvious reasons. They consider it an expression of failure in several regards.

This interesting surname with variant spellings McGuirk, is the Anglicized form of the Gaelic "Mag Coirc", son of (Mac) Coirc, a patronymic from the personal name "Corc", heart, or "Mag Oirc", son of orc, a patronymic from the personal name "Orc", meaning a fabulous monster, whale, the latter is the Scots-Gaelic origin

When all else fails, try The Google. Nothing can hide from it. Only a few key strokes away is all the accumulated knowledge of mankind.

Basically everything that isn't a swamp monster has quit, or is in the process of quitting.

Christ, even swamp monsters like Sarah Huckabee are rumoured to be quitting.

For awhile things were so sad that you almost had to joke about it.

Now it's getting too sad to even joke about it.

What a fugging mess.

Let's get real. The USA has used ISIS to create chaos in all OILY ares not allied with the West. It appears to me they have been manipulated as a useful covert tool to target our alleged enemies. Then we claim R2P and invade and get control of the OIL or whatever back in Western banking domains. Example: Syria, and after the elections in 2011, the CIA armed the protestors they had been funding as the opposition. Turns out many were/are al Qeda and/or ISIS. A ISIS attack on Eastern Libya was claimed by the USA to be Qaddaffi attacking innocent protestors and we bombed the crap out of them and killed Qaddaffi, again R2P. Egypt: we got rid of that damn elected President and got us a nice military dictatorship. To not quote GWBush, " fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. " Allies; Saudi Arabia and Qatar are big ISIS supporters and our allies in the MidEast. Smells like old dead carp. How many times do you want to be fooled?

Interesting etymology regarding the root name 'Corc' or heart. Comes from the Latin 'Cor' for heart. Gaelic & Latin must have distant roots in Europe or Asia:

cord, cour, cor & court. These ROOT-WORDS are cord, cour, cor & court which are in a double-form. Although the words on the list look as if they come from the same root they do not. One is from the Latin COR - COUR - CORD and means of the HEART. The other is from the French COURT and means of the COURT.

What a colossally stupid fantasy. First and foremost, Iraq has been aligned with the West since Saddam's overthrow, so claiming the US created ISIS--- much less that the US is using it to target countries not aligned with us--- is simply dumb.

The US gets most of its nondomestic oil from places like Canada, Nigeria and Venezuela. The "it's for the oil" meme is a sure sign of ignorance.

Gee, do you have any evidence that Gaddafi's attacks on his own people were "false flags"?

The rest of your post is just nonsensical babbling.

US envoy to anti-IS coalition quits over Trump’s Syria move

WASHINGTON (AP) — Brett McGurk, the U.S. envoy to the global coalition fighting the Islamic State group, has resigned in protest over President Donald Trump’s abrupt decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, a U.S. official said, joining Defense Secretary Jim Mattis in an administration exodus of experienced national security figures.

Only 11 days ago, McGurk had said it would be “reckless” to consider IS defeated and therefore would be unwise to bring American forces home. McGurk decided to speed up his original plan to leave his post in mid-February.

What hath Trump wrought?

I really wish Americans would start tuning into foreign news so as to see what Trump hath wrought with a wider perspective. Most of you seem to think the mission was failing, where in fact international experts say this limited offensive has been the most successful campaign has had since 911. NO Americans have died. NO Americans have been seriously wounded, no Canadians have been killed and none seriously wounded by 'friendly fire" as you call it

And....according to sources quoted in the European and Canadian press show the US had actually driven ISIS into a corner and had them contained.

It's ending because a very corrupt 'business man" is about to be exposed if not criminally charged; his only hope is through the ballot box so he can't be charged.

Add to that you have 0 friends, certainly not Canada. It was THE ONE good thing happening and Trump caved to the talking heads on Fox, **** himself when Conway ripped him a new one, and is now scrambling to win back their approval as it's on;ly hope to stay out of prison.

Saddam was our CIA boy and we delivered him the precursors to gas the Kurds. It's not the OIL that they want, but the control of World Energy flows. Tankers, pipelines, storage centers, drilling, banking and all the Big Money that makes ENERGY control possible and prevents Renewables from developing. Try to stay out of the cold. Rapid cooling of a cranium with a vacuum can cause an implosion. /

Again, what a load of delusional crap. You know, it's quite racist of you CTers the way you seem incapable of believing that third worlders are capable of doing.....well.....anything without the CIA/West in general being behind it. I get that ignorance is considered a point of pride for you lot but even for you that's just laughable.

Oh don't worry bud, I figure if you CTers can avoid having your brains explode from being as humiliated as you routinely are no one else has to worry about it.

Seriously do you even have a shred of evidence for your fairy tale? No? Didn't think so.

His first name should really be Dirk, shouldn’t it?

Did you ever hear of 'Stroker' McGurk? Famous race car engine builder and I think from Western New York.

Precursors to gas the Kurds... A lie.

Why lie?

Do you understand the difference between biological precursors and chemical precursors?

Maybe you are simply uninformed.

The advisors to W gave him pretty bad advise on Iraq. There is a reason we have civilian oversight of the military .

Sensation! The number of states that do not have troops in Syria has increased from 197 to 198!

In further news the Repulic of Iceland had declared that it has no plans to replace any military personal that may be leaving Syria.

Regardless of what one may think about Mr. McGurk's decision, he deserves a shoutout for resigning on a matter of principle.

We need more elected and appointed officials to resign when they strongly disagree with a policy or have made a terrible mistake in judgment.

It would have been an inspiring example for all Americans if President George Walker Bush had resigned for his tragic decision to invade Iraq.

CT refers to Conspiracy Theory. The CIA first used the term popularly around the JFK assassination, Iran/Contra scandal, Mena Arkansas Cocaine dealing, WTC7 collapse, etc. Anytime common sense and logic begin to crack the image created by our illustrious or treasonous Intelligence Agencies the MSM cries CT to attempt to defuse the logic while never pointing out the flaws in the logic of that they defuse. Some stuff is CT and nonsense, but when CT comes close to being CT fact is when the Coordinated MSM screams the loudest. The MSM promotes the Party Line narrative and that does not mean a political party.

Top official c'mon who heard of the guy until he resigned.

Media outrage hit another 10 out of 10 on the outrage scale today when Brett McGurk, the special presidential envoy for the Global
Coalition to Defeat ISIS, abruptly resigned. Now here’s the rest of the story… McGurk was a long-time Obama adviser on Iraq
which turned out to be an historic failure and complete global disaster. The Middle East and Europe are still suffering following that
foreign policy nightmare. Obama appointed him to his ISIS ambassador after the Islamic State took over most of Syria and Iraq.
President Trump came in and whooped ISIS butt in the caliphate. McGurk is a jerk and a failure. Good riddance!

And sometimes CT is just a CT....

US arming ISIS. CT.

WTC7 collapse nefarious. CT.

CIA behind EVERYTHING. CT.

"Coordinated MSM". CT.

And the beat goes on.

BTW - Precursors... Figure out where you spoke out your posterior on that one?
