Understanding why blacks are being targets by the police

Sure, we know that is a fact. Black Americans are more likely to be killed by a police officer than a white Americans, but what is the reason?

-Prejudice of the individual police officer?
-Systemic police practices?

Although I think both are valid reasons, a lot of our police officers are racists - consciously or subconsciously. For goodness sakes, even a black police officer is more likely to be shot by another officer than a white police officer. Most black police officers have been racially profiled.

Whites make up a larger amount of the shootings, but are also a larger amount of total population. Depends which way you want to spin it.

The reason seems to be a lack of a motive to cooperate, for whatever macho reason is out there. Respect? Not bending to the man? Not appreciating the severity of what they are doing by ignoring police orders? Maybe not even caring.

It's about 50/50 when not counting Hispanic. No significant difference, not accounting for proportion.

You forgot one:

-A large number of blacks have embraced the Thug culture and these people assault, rob and kill everyone they can including the police. They have no respect for anyone or anything. Cops have to deal with this BS on a daily basis. If you had to deal with these Thugs on a daily basis after a while you too would begin to associate thugs with vermin and when they disrespect you and assault you and try to kill you for doing your job, you too would shoot to kill.

Which probably comes from the perception that they are unfairly targeted. Real or not, we have to admit that that perception is prevalent.

Oh yes they do. Try wearing ratty clothes and driving a pinto through a rich neighborhood and see how long it takes to get pulled over. I don't have time to look up the reference right now, but it has been found that income level has more to do with crime than race. I mean really, who is more likely to sell narcotics? The accountant making $80,000 a year or the high school drop out that can't hold a job at McDonald's?

I think I'll patrol the Beverly Hills area looking for suspect white people. Or standout blacks. Or not patrol it at all. Maybe instead, we should concentrate our patrols in the poor neighborhoods, where most of the blacks are. And the poor white neighborhoods, that make up the highest percentage of the white prison population. The rabble. And then, I'll keep going there, because that's where we get the most busts compared to other areas. Wonder why. That's logic. Go to where you get the most busts and keep going there. White stops result in more unprocessed contraband, fewer prosecution, less conviction and lower sentencing. Those are the facts.

Whites commit just as many crimes as blacks do. The reason why cops do not target suburban rich neighborhoods is because it looks bad on their stat sheets because most of the suburban white people can afford lawyers.

The racist police know they can arrest a black - innocent or guilty and know they are legally powerless to fight it. We still live in an era of oppression. Once they go to jail and have that criminal record, they are left unable to find jobs to get out of poverty. Black people need freedom and the cops are a big reason for black oppression today.

The more blacks arrested, the richer cops get. Fueled by racism and greed, sickening.
