Nothing "top secret" about it. When it comes to electing a President we vote WITHIN OUR STATE to select the Electors who with vote in the Electoral College. We also elect Senators within our state and Representatives within our district to represent us in Congress. There is no "popular vote" for the President.

So again, why do we vote? Why not just let the state electors decide and save us a bunch of trouble. We have so many ways to discredit the voice of the people it isn't funny.

Our voting system is haphazard and archaic and its weak points are showing. That's what happens when people don't play by the same rules. Should montana, both dakotas and wyoming have the same representation as the first, second and third most populated states? That to me is crazy. Whatever the reasoning was two hundred years ago, it's no longer valid or needed today. There are way too many ways to take the popular vote away from people who are in my estimation the voice of america. National vote, one set of rules for every state.

I have to find the poll on 30%, I know the hill poll shows 20%, and there were a few others showing trump good on that remark.

I myself do not have solid faith in a 20 or 30% poll for blacks in favor of trump, in 2016 they captured a trend but were nowhere near the mark, in today aka 2020 I belive the polls are accurate in democrats losing ground to republicans on blacks and hispanics, but feel it is the same as 2016, where trump will outperform expectations by a lot on those demographics but not reach what poll numbers are saying.


I can see 15% blacks voting for trump, 30% yes it is possible but is a big maybe, as 30% may be wishing big. The polls show demographic shifts, but such a big shift is unlikely in a single election short of somehing big like the southern move by nixon, big demographic shifts usually happen over multiple elections, not just all in one election.

I say the Electoral College must go as it has attracted obscene amounts of campaign dollars and mountains of misinformation commercials. The Electoral College does not allow every vote to count.

I say we the voting taxpayers should decide on medical insurance coverage, not elected officials who accept money from the insurance industry for their campaigns. Not only is this corrupt, it increases the cost of coverage.

I say the courts should have no say in elections results. Voters must always have the final word. Elected officials are using the courts to bypass the voters.

I say no lifetime appointments ever.

I say term limits should be set at two years for appointed and elected officials approved by the voters.

I say no more retirement benefits for appointed or elected positions. Retirement benefits cost us taxpayers too much money and are obviously not based on performance.

I say no Congress can interfere with appointment process such as not bringing forward a candidate, aka Mitch McConnell’s tactic when Barack Obama was president.
 
Time to allow young citizens to vote beginning at age 16! How are 16 year old citizens unfamiliar with history, politics and climate change? It's in their face 24/7. The comprehension level of many young people certainly provides a great deal of encouragement.


The electoral college is supposed to guarantee that populous states can’t dominate an election, but it also sets up a disparity in representation. Number of Votes should be all that matter not which state the votes come from.


Hillary Clinton surpassed Donald Trump by more than 2 million votes, but lost the electoral college 306 to 232. In raw votes, it was the largest popular-vote lead in history for a candidate who lost the election.
