Another example how society is safer when criminals don't know who's armed.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two teenagers were shot Tuesday during an attempted car theft incident in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:13 p.m. on the 5900 block of Windsor Street.

When officers arrived they found two 13-year-old shooting victims. One was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the lower back.

Both teens were taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in stable condition.

The man who fired the shots was allegedly trying to thwart a car theft.

I grew up watching lots of shoot'em-up cowboy movies. While fun to watch, I remember thinking I'm so glad I don't live in that kind of society anymore, but instead in modern civil societies.

Oh well, I guess I was wrong...

In Albuquerque last week, 5 or more teenagers tried to rob a couple, and shot the wife twice. The husband returned fire, killing one and wounding another, and then drove his wife to the hospital. She will be OK.

??WHA...?? You think shooting a car thief makes us safer?!? On what planet does that happen?
I guess there's no sense in asking you about whether or not the punishment should fit the crime. Too complicated a question for you. As Trump's biggest fanboy, I'm sure you were tickled to hear him say he'd have the National Guard shoot shoplifters. There's a country you'd delight in living in.

In Trumpistan, everyone found guilty of stealing diapers and baby food would be sentenced to death.

LOL, oh the melodrama and vivid imagination.....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. The democrat party's involvement and permission to riot and loot in the summer of love in 2020, followed by the "defund the police" movement was the beginning. In began large groups of thieves walking in thieving en masse and permitted to continue, looting was made popular, acceptable without any repercussion as long as the democrats could use it politically.

Well, you lost in November and the People of America doesn't favor/like the left's mode of law or correctly stated lawlessness. Car thieves are no longer important than property owners and they have back their God given rights to protect family and property.

13 year olds out stealing cars and pulling out a gun. SMH I do have to feel bad they were shot because they are very much children who obviously have no positive role models in their lives but hopefully this can be a wake up call to those young boys to straighten up their lives.

What would you do if you saw a group attempting to steal something of yours and they pull a gun out at you?

This appears to be two versions of the same story. The car owner claims there was a gun pulled and then he shot them. No gun has been recovered.

If a gun was pulled on me, then I'd have no problem taking out my own and pulling the trigger, given the chance. But that totally belies the point I was making. Auto theft is not a capital offense.

Why should anyone care about a piece of shit?

Someone who steals from others deserves no such consideration.

Yes, anyone pulling a gun on me would likely not be alive to tell about it. Those kids are lucky.

Time to send them to live with their auntie and uncle in Bel Air......

Did you miss the part where the carjackers (there were four of them) were actually armed?

I only hope you live in the shitholes you built and believe should be preserved.

People have the right to defend themselves when they perceive they are in danger. It’s ludicrous to call that a capital offense when you know full well that’s not what it was.

Sadly, the "gangster lifestyle" has been perpetuated in movies and music for quite some time. Almost "romantically" picturing the gangsters dying in a hail of gunfire, as often as not with some beautiful girl crying over them as they pass away in their arms.

Crime should not be romanticized. Gangs should not be romanticized. Bring back romanticizing the good guys who only use guns as a last resort against the bad guys who use guns to take from, and/or harm others with intent.
