Trump's ever-changing Corona virus narrative

Trump is the President, and as President, he bears the ultimate responsibility for how the federal government responded to this crisis.

Stop denying, deflecting, and defending on behalf of Trump. He doesn't deserve it. He deserves to be criticized.

Not since Nov 9 2016 and "NOT MY PRESIDENT!".

The failure of so many citizens, especially those who serve in government, to respect the office on the basis of their Trump Hate, removes much of the blame from Trump for this colossal failure that he would have otherwise gotten......keeping in mind that America was never good at pandemic preparations....at that Public Health has been systematically defunded and degraded over decades both federally and in the states.

Liberals typically agree on the factual whether or not they like it. Trumpites typically reject the factual when it disturbs them.

Ironically, that nonsense is just a lie that liberals tell themselves.

If this works then Trump is a hero and probably cruises to reelection. If not then this will be added to his list of mistakes and his reelection will be difficult.

The Food and Drug Administration says it is worth the risk of trying unproven treatments to slow the progression of the disease in seriously ill coronavirus patients.

Can't recall mentioning her 'till just now. I'm just taking your word for it that she represents everyone on the left.
That's how you conservatives like things, innit? All or nothing, everyone completely obedient to the party, toes on the line, no dissension or discussion. That's how you rightists see politics, innit?

You should be busy trying to fix your corrupt government.

For some reason mu TV now starts on Fox.

I caught him the other night.

Boy, to hear him talk he's part of the hoax too.

He was just explaining the **** out of the situation, 5x5 with the experts.

He even addressed the "get back to work" messaging. That maybe it could work, but the consequences if it doesn't would just negate any temorary "recovery", in spades. So take it slow and follow what the experts advise. But its gonna take time.

What is the logic for a failed recovery to be more devastating than if a period of recovery is tried, and does not work? Might not the pandemic slow down, over that time?

You just arbitrarily send everybody back to work and all those asymptomatic carriers spread it around, we have a second wave of Infections and the only recourse is to go back to stay at home.

Stretches the whole mess out longer, costs more lives and resources.

Trump is a failure in every conceivable way possible and it would best for our country if Trump is no longer President.

There is no discussion of a process for evaluating the needs of one state, versus the 49 other states.

India and other developing countries have a need for medical supplies and PPE, so how are the reasonable needs of other countries being considered or addressed?

Trump increased death toll by downplaying coronavirus crisis several weeks. Trump's worshipers just don't want to face it. What's needed to wake up those people?

Reason why I think there's CULT is that Trumpers can't even think about Trump's incompetence. They are lost causes. Believing in lies ad infinitum. Disgusting.

Sad to say, but for many only the loss of someone they love may jolt them out of their denials about Trump's incompetence.

The thing that I think scares them the most is that it won't end up as bad as their hyperbole needs it to be.

That isn't to say it can't get bad. A quick look at the EU statistics show how bad it could be here.. but it isn't that bad here, and that frustrates the rabid anti-Trumpers.

That's a very sick thing to say.
Only someone who is in total denial about any Trump blunders would suggest that those of us who oppose his administration want more Americans to die.

As Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York has pointed out, even our 50 states are each competing for a small finite global inventory of medical ventilators.
It's a dog eat dog pandemic.

Trump is a poor leader, and this Covid incident has demonstrated that in spades. He and his fan base are thin-skinned, unable to withstand any criticism, almost like spoiled children.

That said, there is counterpoint perspective in this case. The media IS overplaying this.

Corona: The Case Number Game - LewRockwell

Your point about how thin-skinned most Trump supporters are has been my own experience.
Granted that the media often goes over the top. But if any of these whining Right Wingers were themselves in a media/press/journalist
role they would also sink their own teeth into the hot juicy stories--that's what pays their kid's tuition.

And who do think you're impressing with this litany of facts? Certainly not the Trump Deniers. Facts just roll off their backs.

It's describing a very sick behavior, so yeah.
Your post is sick. You are claiming anti-Trump people (sane individuals?) want the virus to be worse or last longer. It's a terrible thing for you to write.
That you write it with no evidence to back it, knowing that there is no evidence of some widespread desire of ANYONE to want this to go on, is terrible of you.

The only large demographic I've seen be deplorable during this is right wing media and the people who supported it. Downplaying this from day one, calling the massive global response "a hoax", calling the seriousness of it a "hoax", calling it the common cold, or the flu, claiming people should go about their lives because economy > lives.

Fast forward to today, and you have DJT himself saying the next 2...er..3 weeks will be tragic, with his experts saying 200K+ will die, and we're at war, etc.

But tell me more about the harmful bull**** you spew. How dangerous.

I am saying that they need for it to get worse to match their hyperbole. They have, like everything else over the last 3+ years (hell, the last 40), spun a narrative that isn't turning out to be true, and to feed their own apocalyptic narrative they are incapable of processing any positive news.

You all seem to be misinterpreting my statement because you don't know the difference between "want" and "need".. but that is part of being a Democrat, I suppose.

Furthermore, where did I assume they were sane? They are at the very least irrational and pessimistic. They do awful things in the name of politics. Whether that is purposeful or pathological is unknown.

What exactly is that narrative? Please provide evidence of it being pushed and how this needs to get worse to match what is being pushed.

The fear from this has been shown to come from the mixed messaging from political figures as well as the CDC. And health experts keep getting it wrong. Those who got it right early on were almost immediately countered with a contradicting political message of "it won't be that bad, dont worry".

Medical experts are providing the models and data. Thats not hyperbole. That things continue to get worse every day, than conservatives like Rush, Trump, and others, claimed, has nothing to do with libs or hyperbole. They were wrong, they reject reason and science, they pushed economy over listening to the experts, and just as science predicted this gets worse and worse. Which has everything to do with the virus, and the unwillingness of people to socially isolate..exacerbated by right wing media.

So no , as usual, you are not making any sense. people still don’t get how bad this is, and it’s a god damned tragedy.

Yes it is, when a model proposes a range of potential outcomes and you run wit the high in projection that is based on no response to the outbreak you are most certainly dealing in hyperbole.

Who did this running that makes it a partisan thing jmotivator?

Trump just ****ing told you from the national stage yesterday that doing nothing was predicted to kill 2.2M people. Are you saying Trump is irrational and all that other **** you were spewing? Brix? Fauci?
What does telling us that 1-2M could die do? Motivates us to *do something*, since doing nothing is extraordinarily dangerous. Do you understand reality at all?

You can't get your story straight, because you're wrong, and you know it.

Hell, Brix is up there already saying that we will hit 200K, with Trump saying it's going to be a tragic 3 weeks.

****ing right wingers still downplaying this and blaming democrats for epidemiological models...****ing madness.
