Trump's deportation push gets boost from border state with massive plot of land

Deporting all the criminals Biden and Harris let in to the country will take decades to fix. They already said they would start with the worst offenders being released from our prisons and jails along with those pending trial for outstanding crimes.

If the claims are true that very few illegals ever commit crimes this should be done and over with pretty quick. I am betting that they never even get all the criminals taken care of in 4 years. But once these criminals realize we are coming for them a lot of them may leave for easier prey in other countries. Hopefully anyway.

The first step is stop the bleeding and secure our borders only letting law abiding people in. I would love to add a tax on everyone coming across the border just like we do with toll roads and bridges all across this country. It is time the people crossing the border pay for our securing the border. Use that money to secure the border, process legal immigrants, issue work visas, and prosecute those trying to enter illegally. Anyone caught not paying taxes is no longer issued a visa and no longer allowed into the country. Fine the companies as well and use that money to stop the criminal activity.

It is already costing the tax payers billions. It is time to switch the cost on to the people creating the problem.
Lol
Another brilliant idea!
Tax the people coming across the border. Do you think these people have any money? You might be able to squeeze $5 out of them but that’s about it. They are crossing because they HAVE no money. Ever tried to squeeze water out of a rock?
I have no problem deporting all the criminals here illegally or preventing them from entering if we can identify them. But they make up a tiny percentage of those here illegally or wanting to work here. Your “solution” would do nothing to fix the larger problem.

Poor excuse to not have the US government protect the border.

Was happening already under Trump. https://www.mississippifreepress.or...-are-still-piecing-their-lives-back-together/

Effective or not, it's not a replacement for protecting the border.
There are designated entry points. Those should be the only points of entry used by people wanting to come here. Everyone else is entering illegally (you want asylum enter at the right crossing) and should forfeit their right to work here or apply for asylum. You get caught crossing illegally you get rapidly processed and sent home.

Didn't you just now kind of describe parts of what would be involved in "protecting the border?"

It may come as a surprise but I support protecting the border. I just don’t think we need a wall to do it. I don’t tow the party line of either party. People crossing illegally are criminals. The jackass is also a criminal. Laws have to be applied evenly as much as possible. You can’t have one level of enforcement for the “haves” and a different level for the “have nots”. I realize that’s idealistic but we should strive to come as close to enforcing laws the same for everyone as possible.

Different parts of the border will have different environments and logistics situations. Are you really telling me no part of it can ever benefit from a wall? Really? Does your home have walls?

Trump is to become the President. The procedure to punish him for crimes is called impeachment. So yes, there literally are different rules for handling some people compared to others. The different branches of government are separated to prevent one from having excessive power over the others, especially over a bookkeeping misclassification of all things.

Illegals are invaders not authorized to be here. So once again, a different status. Has nothing to do with "haves" and "have nots" class warfare or whatever you're trying to introduce here.

Maybe every time someone goes 1 mile over the speed limit the cops should put him in jail for a few weeks for being with the wrong party, right?

The jackass committed the crimes of which he was found guilty or liable long before he became president. And they were not moving violations or parking tickets. They were major crimes. Sexual assault. Fraud. Libel. Falsifying business records to influence an election, a felony. He needs to face the music and be penalized in the same manner I would be penalized had I committed those crimes. There is no cogent reason whatsoever why he should get off Scott free . None.
People entering illegally are criminals, not invaders. Here is the definition of “invader”:

“an army or country that uses force to enter and take controlof another country:”

Words matter. Illegals should be prosecuted as criminals but they don’t meet the criteria for being invaders.

My home has walls to keep the cold outside, among other reasons. People who have homes with walls still get burglarized. That’s one reason walls are ineffective at preventing crime. A determined person can still get into this country illegally. But if there’s no work here then the incentive to cross is removed. That’s why you put the onus on the employers.

Well they came here through Mexico as undocumented, so you are saying Mexico would refuse them if they returned the same as they came, undocumented.
Nope

The majority of illegals overstayed on legal visas

Get your facts in order

Did you have a point there somewhere?
These people work dirt cheap doing work that needs to be done but that Americans won’t do. Therefore they need access to additional resources to support themselves while they work to keep even MAGATS living the way they’re use to.

You have zero idea what you're talking about. Americans would do these jobs if wages hadn't been suppressed by cheap illegal wages. I'm guessing you don't know a person who works/worked in an industry effected by illegal immigrants. If you did you would understand why there's hostility towards illegals.

Perhaps we should import a bunch of cheap foreign workers in your field and see how you'd like it?

1. I’m not the one who brought up the historic Japanese American Citizens who were mistreated by a Democrat President. Please provide historical info concerning Republicans. TIA.
First off, I reject the premise that it matters which party is building concentration camps.

Second: Donald Trump is your example.

2. So any illegal who does not have a piece of paper is it appropriate to treat that human being with empathy who just happens to be a rapist and murderer?
In favor over the victims and their families who should be the ones who actually deserve our empathy?
False dichotomy.

Your statements are bigoted because you think all illegal immigrants are rapists.

What a load of crap. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Caucasian working in the fields. It’s YOU who, like all MAGATS, are living in a fantasy world. Normal people understand this.

Simmer down.
He never mentioned Caucasian’s or the color white.

This place has become a clown show.
Worse.

IT is overrun with cheap labor from recipients of F-1 visas to study here (mainly from India). They share small living quarters and send money to family back home. They are hired at salaries that American citizens cannot support themselves on. Businesses seem to like this arrangement.
Yeah, they do. And they donate to both party campaigns.
Neither party has ever done anything effective about illegal immigration. There's been a lot of bluster, mostly from the Republicans, but both parties understand that the source of cheap labour won't be shut off.

Again, you have zero idea what you're talking about. First Americans use to work in the fields and picking fruits until the influx of cheap labor forced wages down to the point it was no longer attractive work. My grandfather use to take his family down to Floida in the 50's during the winters and supported them picking fruit in the winters months. Second, you assume the majority of illegals are agriculture workers. They're not. My wife's family use to work in the poultry plants in Va until a huge influx of illegals came into the Harrisonburg and surrounding areas driving wages down. My brother in his teens use to go out to Arizona to work summers in construction until they stopped paying decent wages because they hired illegals instead.

So while you might like spouting off thinking you know how this all works you don't have the first clue. Obviously you've never been effected by cheap foreign labor or you might have a more nuanced view of how this effects people in our country.

My gloom and doom? Trump has announced he likes the option of declaring a National Emergency and sending the military into cities to round up immigrants.

Do you just blithely accept Trump's instructing his minions to sabotage a bipartisan bill because he wanted the issue to remain a red hot button to push with his base? There's no way out of admitting that the failure of the bill to pass WAS Trump's fault.
And it's inexcusable. Only a true Trumper would disagree with that.
Politics is what it is. Take it up with your Congressperson.

Trump will be in control and people on the sidelines will have to decide if what he is doing is good for the country.

That’s what happens when MAGAT fantasy land impinges
on us normal people

Well, if that's what's happening in Ethel2's world,

Can't wait for eggs to be $8/dozen after all the undocumented immigrants are incarcerated! 🤦‍♂️

Who do you repubs wanna deport? And how? And why?

Democrats have no problem exploiting cheap foreign labor so they can save .50 cents on a head of lettuce while at the same time calling for much higher minimum wages which will drive up prices on a much more vast array of goods and service.

It's a schizophrenia problem and you never know which one of their personalities you need to argue with.
