Even in that case, he'd still be Donald Trump. His father was US born (as was his mother) and had the Trump surname.

And again, you can't have it both ways - if "hispanic" or "mexican" is a race, then both Trump and the Judge are racists (La Raza). If not, then you have no basis for calling Trump a racist.

For the first time in my many months of calling Trump all sorts of names, I'm finally calling him a racist, because he is. He is clearly implying that this judge can't do his job because of his Hispanic heritage. Fact.

The point is that reaching back to aspects that the person them self had no choice over is silly and counterproductive. The judge's ethnicity (and birth nationality) is what it is. Trump's name is what it is. Trump could have changed his name, but he didn't. (And even if he did, so what? :shrug:?)

This a perfectly good reason why Trump is unfit for public office. Anyone who has ever watched a legal thriller knows that if Trump had a case, his lawyers would challenge the judge. He isn't doing that because he doesn't have a case, he would rather try top destroy this judges reputation.

Trump and many of his surrogates talk as though there is this caste system we have in regards to being American. At the top there are White Americans of Western European decent and the rest like Hispanics, Asians, Muslims of all stripes and so on are less that pure Americans. Unfortunately I think there is a contingent of Americans that are very tribal in their thinking and see things the same way.

Of course most people know that isn't the case at all. We are not like many countries. For example, an American could move to China at a young age, learn the language, become a legal citizen, and live and work there their entire lives and still never be Chinese. Despite how integrated they were in the local society, despite how many friends they had there, even if they married into a Chinese family, they would still be seen as a foreigner. In contrast, our daughters that we adopted from China became every bit as much of an American as we are the second our plane touched down on American soil.

Any judge who belongs to a hispanic org with The Race in the title, an org that has honored illegal aliens is indeed bias and cannot do his job in this case. His actions in releasing the documents before the trial, so that the defendent might be tried in the court of public opinion, prove he can't do his job in this case.

And your evidence of actual bias is?

I forgot when it became all right to judge people on their associations, but really, unless you can point to specific rulings your no more than whining Trump's whine for him.

Belonging to something is not in itself bias, there must be evidence of bias. Trump knows this, but because he's going to lose the fraud case, he's trying it in public, like a coward.

If this IS the stance of Trump, then America is in trouble as belonging to certain organizations he disapproves of is going to get uncomfortable.

This is not an immigration case, pally boy. It's a fraud case. Why would a Mexican heritage be biased in a fraud case?
