What part of “we aren’t discussing China” are you having trouble understanding? My question is, are businesses going to start lining up to start businesses in China and want to deal with their government?
Is China a friendly country to do business in?
How is the US the richest and most powerful country in the world and got scammed by every other country at the same time? How does that work?
It's termed, "Globalism"
Trump said in his first term
a nation's leaders should be nationalist.
I agree.Consider, who among Americans, profit via globalism
Oh, I Don't Know, could it be "the wealthiest
that run both parties and the media."The wealthiest" certainly benefited in the
Obama, Biden/Harris administrations.
Consider the bill came due and Trump got stuck with it,
similar to Jimmy Carter's presidency.
Support Free Trade and reciprocal tariffs.
Limit exports of American food stuffs & animal feed.
etc.
Support American nationalism and monopoly laws
abused by the media.
Probably less than six now
That doesn't explain how the US is the richest and most powerful country in the world and has been ripped off constantly by every other country in the world.
It does if you think a moment
.
<psst>
Ref. Trump, first term said a nation's leader should be a nationalist.
Globalism is an excuse for uber wealthy Americans to further enrich themselves at the expense of working folks.
Okay, so how is Canada, Japan, Vietnam, Australia, Europe, etc. ripping off the US and how is the US still the richest and most powerful country in the world if all these countries are ripping off the US through out several ecades?
I definitely would like to know that answer. It's what MAGA proclaims as a justification from withdrawing from established treaties and imposing high tariffs aka violating your own agreed trade deals.Okay, so how is Canada, Japan, Vietnam, Australia, Europe, etc. ripping off the US and how is the US still the richest and most powerful country in the world if all these countries are ripping off the US through out several ecades?
Of course there is good news out there...but the democrat want everyone to think the sky is falling..When was the last time MSM reported on lower gas prices, the closed border, even inflation and groceries lower in stores? The article says it should result in 14,000 new full time jobs in the US. But I'm not interested in getting into an argument, I'm just pointing out that there is some good news out there.
The tariffs haven't effected me one bit...to listen to democrats you would think AOC prediction that the world was going to end in 12 years..that was in 2018 so It seem we only have six years to go so why worry about tariffs. How are Trump supporters feeling about the tariffs? Is it a problem for anyone yet? Everyone still on board with them?

Ocasio-Cortez Calls Climate Change 'Our World War II'
The freshman congresswoman urged Americans to address global warming immediately to avoid the end of human existence, calling climate change "our World War II."www.newsweek.com

Can you describe what a reciprocal tariff is.....no fair googlingI am in favor of reciprocal tariffs
Simple question.
Stock futures down again.
No big deals in site.
Trump does not seem to be backing down from tariffs.
Bond yields rising.
Dollar falling.
Can you describe what a reciprocal tariff is.....no fair googling
Substance over style. Also its like dealing with a moody teenager with pimples when you deal with Trump. So you wait out the tantrums.
OK then why is Trump placing tariffs of 10 % on all countries regardless if they have rariffs on American goods or not? Why is he placing 25% tariffs on aluminum and steel from Canada when we have no tariffs like that on goods imported into Canada?Example
If They Tariff American goods,
America tariffs theirs, the same.
I am in favor of reciprocal tariffs.
Free Trade needs to be a 2 way street.
During Trump's first term he put tariffs on steel and aluminum, claiming this would make the U.S. more self-sufficient in these two metals however in 2024, the output of the U.S. steel industry was 1% lower than it had been in 2017, before the first round of Trump tariffs,a nd the aluminum industry produced almost 10% less.OK then why is Trump placing tariffs of 10 % on all countries regardless if they have rariffs on American goods or not? Why is he placing 25% tariffs on aluminum and steel from Canada when we have no tariffs like that on goods imported into Canada?
Don't know what the answer to that will be, but here's a bit of recent good news on the subject: Hyundai recently announced a $21 billion investment to increase production in the US. As have some of the companies they are working with, such as NVIDIA, who are investing "hundreds of bilions" into the US.
