Trump Shifts Deportation Focus, Pausing Raids on Farms, Hotels and Eateries

. Bailouts for farmers were temporary.
And that belief is what got you defeated in the last election. Keep it up.
Even Trump supporters are okay with severe government intervention such as tariffs and price controls and bailouts for farmers.
No Republican is OK with price controls (only Kamala Harris was). Trump's tariffs are negotiating tools. Bailouts for farmers were temporary.
You really need to start thinking and stop just going by what the Party says. You're not too dumb, and you might figure some things out.

That's fascinating. First, you go on a rant right out of the Party playbook. Then, to "support" it, you cite - guess what - the Democrat playbook. I think we can safely ignore that post.
Good, in which case we can also ignore your right-wing sentiments. Fair enough, or is your position 'special' in some way?

Trump's tariff stunt failed completely the last time he was in office, and it'll fail again now as a "negotiating tool". His first tranche of tariffs imposed on China resulted in farm bankruptcies rising by 24%, and costing farmers $27 billion in lost revenue. You are still paying the price for Trump's stupidity, and it's only going to get worse as the cost of these latest tariffs is reflected in the imports you buy. Buy American? Good luck with finding anything!

So much winning.

So because you make a claim about which you have no knowledge, I'm supposed to accept whatever you say? No thanks. The next time you say something that makes sense will be the first time.
Posting nonsense is your thing. Claiming decreasing revenue is an investment is batshit stupid. But hey, that's your thing.

Insults are also your thing. Childish stupidity.

costing farmers $27 billion in lost revenue.
It's not logical to complain about farmers "losing" $27 billion after you complain that farmers were reimbursed $27 billion for losses cause by tariffs.

People keep saying that but, so far, prices haven't gone up because of tariffs. Last month the rate of inflation was 0.1%. That's one tenth of one cent on every dollar. I think we can live with that.

LOML does all our shopping, and she refuses to by anything from China. And, in case you haven't figured it out, one reason for tariffs is to encourage manufacturing in this country. It's starting to work already.

I heard it from the horse's mouth this morning at a presser. Trump has reversed his policy as to who ICE will be targeting.
Don't listen to the fake news, unnamed sources who say Trump is arresting farm, hotel, restaurant workers.

Every time Democrats want to raise taxes to pay for something they call it "an investment" in that thing. Raising taxes decreases the money left in your pocket. Get it? (I doubt it.)

Must be hard for you to know your position on this topic when your orange god keeps flip flopping.

Must be harder for you not to make me the subject of the thread.
The subject of the thread is what will Trumps position on deportation be this week? Or maybe this day? Or maybe what his position will be in a few hours.

Because it sure looks like the monkeys are running the circus, and the head monkey is an idiot.

But I look forward to next week, when you'll be cheering Trump deporting farm workers, until the week after that where he isnt doing it and that will also be an upstanding noble gesture, until he doesnt do that anymore.

I am going to keep saying it because it's true. Trump is like Hitler. Trump supporters are like the brown shirts. MAGA is an authoritarian movement just like the Nazis. You want a big tough mean guy just like Hitler's supporters wanted a big tough mean Hitler to shake things up and beat their opponents. Classic authoritarianism, but you just can't see it.
And one of his ex wives said he kept a book of Hitler’s speeches by the bed. Given to him as a gift.

And then there’s his enthusiasm about professional wrestling.

Kinda establishes a pattern of curiosity as to how people gain sway over others.

Many a person has risen to heights far above their actual ability on cunning and charisma alone.

Where was the phone/computer you're typing on made? Where was her phone made? If domestic manufacturing is "starting to work" why are so many of your most iconic businesses moving out of America?

Remind us; despite Trump's pledge to eliminate your national debt, how did it work out-and how much will his 'One Big Beautiful Bill' (did a 10 year-old come up with that?), add to it? How many trillions would you suggest? This is what Trump's favourite propaganda source says...

So much winning! Then of course are his tax cuts for the already very wealthy. Your idiot-in-chief is screwing you over, and you don't even know it.

Our phones were built in Vietnam. My laptop was built in India.

Since the first of this year, many companies are investing trillions of dollars to establish or expand manufacturing in this country. Because of the tariffs and the new, lower tax rate on US manufactured products, their products will have a pricing advantage.

Trump's been on the job for less than 5 months and already he has the US military patroling America's streets.

Neither Obama or Biden ever did so, nor did they ever deport anyone to a Supermax prison in El Salvador.
For sure.

Last term, Trump deported fewer people than Obama had. And Biden deported more people than Trump did in his entire last term. (Not sure if Obama or Biden deported more people... they tried equally hard to get rid of brown people for sure.)

Maybe Trump will deport as many people as Biden? It could happen, I guess.

I'm happy with fewer people being deported.

Yeah I'm sure the GOP will get right on that
Trump has a history of deporting fewer people than Democrats.

I'm sure the GOP will hate him for it. I don't feel sorry for them though.

..but guess where all of the parts were sourced from and where the rare earth minerals used to make the chips were from.
