I guess you are failing to see the other possibilities behind presentation of such.
That is why your laughter makes no sense.
You are assuming one thing, when it could actually be purposefully done for another.
I can understand why liberals have a problem with Trump, but why on earth would a "conservative"?
Tucker Case appears to be very confused about the concept of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"_
Your laughing makes no sense.
If Maher excepts what Trump's lawyer submitted to claim on the bet. Maher loses.
If Maher demands the long form, he will lose the bet because I am more than sure Trump can produce his long form just as I could.
But Maher would then also loose on the BC front showing that the short form isn't good enough.
In the end, Maher loses.
I hope he or his representation isn't stupid enough to fall for the trap.
Guess humour does not compute with you.
Looks like a fake. Where's the raised seal? Where's the crease? He needs to produce at least two newspaper announcements, at least two others born at the same time so we can confirm the certificate number, and at least 2 governors and a director of health to confirm its authenticity.
But there's an inconvenient truth liberals are going to have to confront: The Birthers began not on the right, but on the left.
Investigations for my new book, Wingnuts, revealed that the Birther conspiracy theory was first concocted by renegade members of the original Obama haters, Party Unity My Ass, known more commonly by their acronym, the PUMAs. They were a splinter group of hard-core Hillary Clinton supporters who did not want to give up the ghost after the bitter 50-state Bataan Death March to the 2008 Democratic nomination.

What is really nauseating about the entire thing is the revelation of what now passes for humor in liberal pop culture.
Read the absolute sht that Maher said about Trump in the Jay Leno article. And you can bet the audience all laughed like hyenas. Read the liberal posts on here attacking Trump. That is humor in the liberal world. To them, humor has become anger, hate and viciousness toward others. The most vile things that can be said are accepted as valid humor.
Bill Maher will never be mainstream again after calling Americans cowards when 9/11 happened. He is consigned to the liberal freak dustbin and he hates that. He rages and hates America for rightfully casting him aside. Which is why the liberals love him, they all know that they are somehow "different" also.
Trump is the buffoon that will never be mainstream again.

By the way, Maher's bet was that Trump couldn't prove that he isn't the spawn of his mother having sex with with an orangutan. Trump might not be aware of this, but a BC doesn't prove that your father was not an orangutan.
...I do find it hilarious that he'd respond the way he did.
He and other birthers insisted that the only valid document to present was the actual long-form Birth Certificate. So, I do find it very hilarious that after all the birthers - from an Illinois Senator who first challenged a then unknown Community Organizer to Sen. Hillary Clinton to a Pastor seeking his 15-minutes of fame to Brieghtbart - that the Donald when challenged himself on this very same front would turn around and issue to his challenger NOT his long-form birth certificate, but the short-form Certificate of (Live) Birth, a document very much like the one he ranted on and on and on about that to himself and others was NOT good enough to act as proof positive that the POTUS was born in this country.
Just found this article on YahooNews' The Lookout blog. Yahoo News exclusive: Trump releases birth certificate to Bill Maher, demands $5M | The Lookout - Yahoo! News Seems Bill Maher might have written a check his mouth can't cash. Still, I found one thing very laughable about The Donald's response to Bill Maher's birther challenge.
If folks recall, Donald Trump critisized the President for releasing the short-form version of his "Certification of Live Birth" even going as far as saying it wasn't good enough to substantiate the details of his birth and that the long-form was a more viable document. But when challenged to release his own birth certificate, what does the Donald provide?
A short-form version of his "Certification of Birth".
H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S! You really can't make this stuff up, folks!
Colbert also threw down some sort of challenge to The Donald on this subject, but I never did hear the outcome of that one.
Stephen Colbert Challenges Donald Trump: $1 Million To Be Teabagged
Stephen Colbert responded to Donald Trump’s birther “challenge” to President Obama with just the kind of counter-challenge Trump deserved: Colbert said he’d write a check for $1 million to the charity of Trump’s choice, “if you will let me dip my b*** in your mouth.”
But of course, Maher has more than the framed responses you consider. He can also avoid paying because he never made a real offer. Jokes from a comedian about public figures are fair game.It seems that Maher has two ways to respond. He can either agree with Trump and say the Short form does not qualify as proof of birth... Or he can acknowledge that it does and (possibly) pay 5 mil to charity.

Are you suggesting that the U.S. courts do not except a Certification of Birth as proof?

Most people do not need this explained to them. Oh well.Evidence, not proof. If there is a dispute, DNA or other medical evidence is required. When you fill out a birth certificate application for your child, nobody performs a test to determine who the actual biological father is.
Which is strange as it was already stated that there was not valid contract. No real challenge.Trump has no case. It's amazing there are 8 pages arguing about whether the short form would be enough proof in court.
This is kicked on a MTD in every single court in the country. No reasonable person would have construed Maher's joke as an offer to enter into a contract. There's no offer, no enforceble contract to sue on. Stop pretending to know what evidence would suffice in court.
