While it may have been accurate, if he had dropped the personal name calling and simply mentioned his account of that opportunistic phony couple trying to schmooze him after having savaged him for months it would have been much more effective and saved everyone from being subjected to all the feigned sexist agita.

While it is true that it would be better to have gotten the Statedepartment runing more quickly and being a smooth talker with a slicker vocabulary would be cool, the problems are not new and Obama had all that without any success in getting the others to take note. Time is therefore getting too short to the point that looking back we might all be unhappy that Obama wasn't even more brutally rude than Trump. You see, we might no longer have the luxury of daintiness.

As to Korea, policy and statement are two different things, as was the politics of the era regarding Japan/Korea/China/Russia. I think its a bit of a stretch to blame the Korean War on a statement from Dean Acheson.

Yes it is bad in fact very bad if Putin decided to attack our allies that we have a commitment to defend under the idea that due to our allies being short on the amount of their GNP spending for their military we will allow him to do so.

While I agree with your post, I think you may be giving a little more credit to our senator Rubio than he deserves.

I was a Kasich supporter, but moderates never get anywhere in our primary process. It's dominated by far left/right freaks and the corrupt dem/rep parties.

There's a lot of truth in the old cliche: Move to the right/left in the primaries, move to the center in the general election.

Though this last election I don't either one really tried to move to the center as most usually have in the past.

Eh, I'd disagree with both of those things.

It's the most politically engaged members of the electorate. Ideological staunchness does not necessarily directly correlate to political engagement. In general I'd agree that in general primaries lean more towards the ideological side, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's primarily the "most conservative". or "most liberal" members that are actively participating.

People go left or go right in primaries not necessarily because the "most [x]" are voting in the primary; it's that no one [y] is. A Liberal is generally not being faced with a conservative, or vise versa. So by it's nature, the tenur and tone and focus is going to be more right or left based than a general election. But I think the electorate during a primary isn't necessarily predominantly the most ideologically devout of the party, but rather than it's a solid mix with the actual engagement in politics being the far more defining factor.
