Israel never signed on to the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons treaty, as 191 other 'states' had. Israel wanted to remain obscure in their nuclear weapons program in an attempt to deter threats from countries like Iran and others in the area. It's widely believed that Israel has nuclear weapons.
According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute and the Federation of American Scientists, Israel has an arsenal of around 90 nuclear warheads. Iran knows this too, of course. Trump's bombing of Iran's nuclear sites may actually propel Iran to develop their uranium enrichment program even faster now. Iran's officials were in Geneva working through discussions and negotiations about drawing back on their nuclear enrichment. The United States did not have a physical representative at the Geneva caucus. The US was kept informed and engaged through diplomatic channels, with Secretary Rubio and Steve Witkoff involved in discussions with European counterparts. Could anyone explain how it is showing 'good faith' by the U.S. not physically being represented for these discussions?
