Trump Judge Rules It’s OK to Discriminate Against LGBTQ People. Why has the GOP come to oppose transgenders so vigorously?

Nevertheless, the right-wing stripped them of a constitutional right that even a pro-life woman might need to save her life.

And this thread isn't about transgenders in sports.
trans in sports is the only explanation for your shift described in OP

DARVO.

Social cons were falsely accusing gay men of flaunting their shit in men's locker rooms. Now that homophobia is out of style and replaced with transphobia, the same false accusations are firing off but in the other locker room.
So you agree the gays are not doing that in womens locker rooms. That only trans are exposing themselves in hirls and womens licker rooms.

Trans porn tends to be the main kind of porn in anti-trans states, so there's something to this.
How woud youknow that? Are you watching porn all the time?

It seems to me the porn industry recognizes it as neither male or female.
I've seen the summer 2 with a lady that tries to look like a dude all except for their groin cuz obviously and no they're not fooling anybody that's just straight sex. The woman just happens to be Butch.

The right blames the left for focusing on identity issues, yet they seem to be the ones doing it.
The topic of identity issues of this kind began on The Left about thirty years ago. Saith Wiki:

The term cisgender was coined in English in 1994 in a Usenet newsgroup about transgender topics[11] as Dana Defosse, then a graduate student, sought a way to refer to non-transgender people that avoided marginalizing transgender people or implying that transgender people were an other.[12] John Hollister used it that same year. In 1995, Carl Buijs used it, apparently coining it independently.[13][14]

Yet its the Dems who are guilty for making it an issue.
They would have liked it if everyone just rolled over and accepted their take on the issue. That didn't happen, but they began the movement. Not that all Dems did. Didn't Obama define marriage as the union of a man and a woman?

I find it interesting that when I was starting a lot of threads about men raping little girls (it's mainly just straight men) that hardly any conservatives would post in those threads.

Those rapes didn't generate the same kind of emotional response in MAGA that trans people do.

Your ignoring the fact that the poll shows most Republicans didn't support anti-trans bathroom restrictions and Trump claimed there were no problems with trans using the bathrooms.

So the GOP did roll over, and made trans a central issue, and then blamed the Dems for making it so!

No transgenders on the team, but this guy can be their coach.

Religious liberties are just exceptions to public accommodation laws

Let's talk about some rights instead of toilets do you have any point about rights?

"Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, who holds a reputation for being a far-right activist judge, declared that while Title VII of the Civil Rights Act does not protect LGBTQ people from workplace harassment based on their sexual or gender orientation. The case was brought forth by the Heritage Foundation, a far-right, culturally conservative organization that heavily influenced the writings and goals of Project 2025.

Kacsmaryk, a Trump appointee, specifically targeted transgender people in his ruling, stating that they had to simply deal with any kind of discriminatory treatment in their workplace. He deduced that “a male employee must use male facilities like other males,” an assertion that completely invalidates transgender identity in its entirety rather than actually acknowledging the issues they face at work. Kacsmaryk even went so far as to order federal employment policy to remove“all language defining ‘sex’ in Title VII to include ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity.”.

This all directly contradicts the Supreme Court’s 2020 Bostock v. Clayton County ruling, which stated plainly that Title VII protects LGBTQ workers from identity-based firing and harassment."

Why do Republicans oppose transgenders so vigorously?

It wasn't always this way In 2016, polls showed most Republicans opposed anti-transgender bathroom laws.

There was quite a public backlash against NC's anti-trans bathroom bill.

In the 2016 election, Trump's seemed to personally support transgenders using the bathroom of their choice.

"Discussing the North Carolina law that prohibits transgender individuals from using a bathroom that does not match their gender at birth during a town hall event on NBC's Today on April 21, 2016, Trump said, "There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go. They use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate." Trump continued "There has been so little trouble."[10]

A lot happened since 2016, as the Dems became increasingly toxic on many topics, partly though not wholly because Trump won the Presidency that year. "Bathroom bills" took on greater importance as the Left largely supported other trans causes, like trans women in women's sports. It's not a question of rolling over but of opposing an attempt to change society along undesirable lines.

Wow. Looks like the left has finally found an activist judge. I thought they didn't exist.
Tell us that this is the first time you’ve ever heard of Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

If you believe that U.S. District Court judges should not be able to make court decisions that bind the entire country, which I bet you do, then that Amarillo judge should be the first one you focus on. He’s got quite the history of doing it after the Republicans did their judge shopping. The right doesn’t believe that kind of thing applies to them.

Yeah, it's sort of a confession that they routinely use activist judges.

Sorry, but saying that all males must use facilities designated for males is NOT discrimination.

The ruling seems to go beyond that.

There is no discrimination.

Other people born with a penis and testicles are not allowed to compete against women, either.

What rights are being violated here? Be specific.
