Trump: evacuate Tehran

He's obviously stupid enough to make ambiguous statements to fan the flames of fear.
The last thing Trump wants is human lives lost while trying to carry out a goal he's been crystal clear about (that Iran cannot have nuclear bombs). Frankly, that's also a big difference in many of the tactics we've seen used by Israel and Iran. Iran's tactics are geared toward killing civilians. Israel's tactics are geared toward dismantling capabilities.

I don't think his statements and actions now, are ambiguous. Trump wanted to reach a deal with Iran and he gave it the 60 days he was clear about. Ambiguity was his purposeful tactic then. It isn't now.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the amount of effort Israel put into their targeting. We haven't seen - at least I haven't seen - any random apartment blocks burning.
Their specific targeting is impressive to the point of often being amazing.

😂😂😂

Iran would be incredibly foolish to give up on trying to gain nukes which, after all, are the only thing to ensure the US and Israel can’t attempt to attack them again like they currently are.

And Israel’s mass murder campaign in Gaza makes it pretty clear targeting civilians is their standard MO.

Suddenly, Trump is flip-flopping again, rescinding his threat to the people of Tehran. Trump met with the National Security Counsel earlier this morning. Moments ago he tweeted saying,

"We know where Iran's Supreme Leader is hiding. We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don't want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers."

This is a 180° turn around from his previous statement warning people in Tehran to evacuate. It's obvious that smarter, wiser and more experienced minds, talked him out of the U.S. attack on civilians in Tehran. Trump is a ****ing dangerous loose cannon.

I think you misinterpreted, "we don't want missiles shot at civilians ..."

He is talking about Iran targeting Israeli population centers.

I'm especially pissed right now that cancer will eat a three year old's brain but not...

I agree taking out Fordow would require American equipment - but various American equipment is provided to many a country for that country's military efforts. Does the U.S. "declare war" on every country where our equipment is used by another country's military? No.
Trump has credible intelligence of imminent, large-scale Israeli strikes on Tehran, (and probably the takeout of Fordow 100 miles from Tehran) hence, his warning to people could be seen as a humanitarian act to minimize civilian casualties.

I think you misunderstood his first threat against the people of Tehran, warning them to evacuate the city. His second sensible statement came after he met with the national security council, someone must have talked a bit of sense into his thick skull.

"The people" overthrew the Shah of Iran and and planted the seeds of a far worse extremist regime. Ultimately they will be the very ones paying the price.
Like what could happen here.

You have any idea what 9-10 million people, moving at the same time, looks like?

Clueless and irresponsible talk, imo.

An idiot without a plan makes statements that make his cluelessness very apparent.
;)

The other concerning part here is this act of sparing Khamenei as if taking out world leaders is some normal process or something the US even had in the cards. Clown show always.

You left out the part where we overthrew their democratically elected government because it cancelled the previous regime’s oil contracts. Installing the Shah not once but twice. Which led directly to the current religious regime.

Consequences of our meddling in the name of profits. Like all over Latin America

Chickens always come home to roost.

It seems that as of now, however, there is a very, very large proportion of Iranians which hate their current government.

Recent anti-government protests:

Yup. The old guard is dying off and the youth (vast majority due to the deaths of most of an entire generation in various wars) want to rejoin the west.

If he doesn't say anything the left will blame him for knowing of an impeding attack and doing nothing to save "the women and children".

Many times saying nothing is the best option. Quoting Ron White, “the officer told me that I had the right to remain silent, what I lacked was the ability……”

As much as people bad mouth Trump, he does truly care about all people, not just Americans.

I do have an idea of what anti-Trump clowns would say if he didn't issue a warning.
You don't, but you can pretend you do I suppose. The better question is whether you think what Trump said in a social media post is supposed to be some official warning or 4Chan-like trolling.
🤭
