Trump cold-called Norwegian minister to ask about Nobel Peace Prize

If Trump manages to secure some peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, then I think he should be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Nope.

Trump IS NOT worthy of a Nobel prize.

Giving it to Trump would render the prize worthless and it would be seen as a joke.

NO.

Dumpletits gets NOT A DAMN THING.

Just give him someone else's Nobel Prize. He's got no problem accepting Purple Hearts he didn't earn, why should this be any different?

Pathetic Dysfunctional Donald!

That is not how it works, stupid.

Mad King Donald has no shame.
He wants that peace prize so badly...

Why? I mean, if he manages to get Russia to leave Ukraine, okay. Let's talk. If he just surrenders and calls it peace like he did with the Taliban, then why?
At least one American president was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for doing absolutely nothing to deserve it (no names - we all know who it was).
I would agree he could be considered. But only after a period of lasting peace. And only considered, not guaranteed.
Agreed. (y)

If Trump cannot broker a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, then Trump broke his pact with the American people. I didn't vote for Trump, but I know people who did, and they based their support for Trump on the basis of his campaign promise to end the Russia/Ukraine war.

(I think most intelligent people knew that Trump could/would not achieve it in 24 hours as promised.)

I heard the Committee is considering giving to Obama again just to screw with Trump.

There’s a committee who makes those decisions.

Norway, of course, will now give the prize to everyone except Trump.

"Give me a peace prize or I will slap tariffs on you."

I recently toured the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo. Fascinating.
They don’t always give out that prize.
It would be great if they just skipped it as long as the Mad Orange King holds court.

Some members of the Nobel Prize Committee publicly regretted awarding the Prize to someone who did nothing to earn it. Geir Lundestad, former secretary of the Nobel Peace Prize Committee wrote in his book:

“. . . Even many of Obama’s supporters believed that the [Nobel Peace] prize was a mistake. In that sense the committee didn’t achieve what it had hoped for.”

They had hoped that the undeserving recipient whom they chose to receive the prestigious award would go on to do great things. Sadly, he never did. 😞

Did he mention tariffs on Norway?

I seem to recall his, "Pact" with the American people was that he would end the war on day one.

I have to wonder though. How many people actually believed that shit back when he was talking it? Seriously. (I don't even think the MAGAtards believed that.)

I mean, he talks so much shit. We have all become to used to it. Myself, I knew he was lying from the get-go. (He always does.) It ain't rocket-surgery to understand that whatever he says should be taken with a grain of salt and disregarded from the get-go, by default. (Lest ye be counted among the Trump cult-bobbleheads.)

This doesn't speak to Trump's embarrassingly bottomless pit of neediness.

I’m sure some of that is probably true.
Nevertheless, Obama is a recipient.
