Anyone surprised? Yeah, didn’t think so.

(CNN) During a visit to the El Paso hospital treating victims of Saturday's mass shooting, President Donald Trump praised medical staff for their response to the shooting and said "they're talking about you all over the world."

And then, he pivoted to talking about himself, talking up the crowd size that attended a rally he held in El Paso several months earlier and mocking the relatively small size of the crowd that joined presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke, a former congressman, to protest the rally, according to cell phone video posted online (link to video included in article)

"I was here three months ago," Trump is seen telling a group of what appear to be first responders and other officials at University Medical Center in the video.

"That place was packed. ... That was some crowd. And we had twice the number outside. And then you had this crazy Beto. Beto had like 400 people in a parking lot, they said his crowd was wonderful," he said.

The interaction came on a day where Trump visited two cities grieving from recent mass shootings and spent time airing personal grievances about the coverage he received during the visits and leveling attacks at his critics, including several Democratic presidential candidates.

The overwhelming majority of patients at two El Paso hospitals the White House had reached out to in preparation for Trump's Wednesday visit said that they did not want to spend any time with the President, an individual who had been briefed on the matter tells CNN.

The source confirmed the Washington Post report that not one of the eight patients still being treated at University Medical Center wanted to meet with the President, so administrators brought back two patients who had already been discharged who expressed a willingness to meet with him.

So much for the “Consoler In Chief”.

Any opportunity that presents itself trump will turn in into it's all about him. What an ego. And the folks who support him think he gives two hoots about them. That's the real joke.

He simply can't go 5 minutes without the need to brag about himself.

Wtf is wrong with him?

“Crowd size” has been the only constant in their Administration! From the first day.......anyone note that the recent Immigration raid on the Mississippi chicken plants was the “biggest raid eva!”

We put a reality star in the White House. No, a "pro" wrestler. And he is playing the part of a heel. Controversy and insulting people gets him his crowds and high ratings. That is all he cares about. What a sad, pathetic loser he is but even sadder are all the dumb suckers who fall for his act.

Both sides pull the same BS.

He simply can't go 5 minutes without the need to brag about himself.

The Trump-obsessed can't go 5 minutes without losing their minds because Trump.

Wtf is wrong with them?

Just looking at that guy I get the impression he's something of a clown..

If you remember the insane letter he released about trump's health, he later admitted trump wrote it and he just agreed to release it.

The only thing you forgot is, that with the White House wanting to prevent the press from seeing any patients saying negative things to trump, they banned them on the excuse 'they didn't want it to be a photo op', before releasing their own photos like yours and a campaign video of the event.

Are you seriously implying that the the fact that dozens of people were killed in two mass shootings is more important than Trump's crowd size? Blasphemer!

Looking at the cluttered up desktop on his computer confirms it.
Not exactly confidence inspiring.

Considering what we know of Trump, neither is the doctor’s note he provided the public in ‘16;

“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

Both sides pull the same BS.

Post an example of Obama bragging about his crowd size when he was visiting the victims of tragedies or their families. Post an example of Clinton doing it. For that matter, post an example of either Bush doing it, or Reagan doing it.

I saw this on Morning Joe and wanted to vomit.

In addition to showing what a despicable piece of garbage he is, he also lied (as usual). Beto had thousands at his rally.

This man is sick. He's diseased. He's ugly in every possible way he can be. And watching his idiot wife standing next to him, smiling at the camera and smiling at his words, made that spectacle even worse. Maybe the lesbian porn model "BeBest" promoter should tell her idiot husband that it isn't appropriate to say those things when the day was supposed to be as solemn as the horrific events that put those people there warrant. But she's as stupid and anti-American as he is.

I hope the Democrats use this on one of their ads, and loop it over and over again. The decent people in this country who didn't already see it will be as outraged as I am.
