Trump’s Running Tab in the Abrego Garcia Case

Then why is Trump nabbing people for minor paperwork violations like this guy.
Trump isn't. Some staff person somewhere made a decision. The article says, "Savannah (his wife) said she and her husband were told in April that his paperwork problem was with an application for removal of conditions on his residency – a form used by an immigrant married to a U.S. citizen."
Another article says that he "unknowingly missed a key immigration filing deadline in 2015."
Looks like the guy got caught up in a bureaucratic paperwork problem. I can't find out what the problem was. With millions of immigrants and thousands of bureaucrats, mistakes will happen.

It was no mistake. ICE was waiting for him. They never used to position themselves at immigration offices. Doing so just prevents people from getting their paperwork done, for fear of being snatched up and taken away.

Don't blame some staff person. They take their orders from above.

ICE has started stationing agents at immigration courts because people who come to those hearings have been through security and are known to be unarmed. ICE may have known he would be there (because he had an appointment) and that there was some problem with his records. The same "unarmed" fact is true when picking up illegal aliens who have just received an Order of Removal from the immigration Judge.

Your so-called quote doesn't appear anywhere in the search except in your post and in some unrelated post from 20 years ago.

That's what you misquoted. The site's search feature doesn't lie.

Sure it does...I expanded it from El Salvador to other countries. Why are you lying about it? Here it is, note the bold:

No. Here's the question:

What would the charge be in the foreign country?
Your answer: That's up to them to decide.

Why would they charge him with anything? What crimes did he commit in other countries? Which ones are looking to extradite him for a crime?

This ⬆️ shows how stupid your answer is. It has nothing to do with "sovereignty."

Keep hiding behind this while pretending you screwed up thinking some other country had criminal charges lined up for him 🤣 Lecture me some more on "sovereignty" ;)

President Trump is probably not aware of everyone who is correcting his permanent resident status information. IF a mistake was made it was most likely not in the President's office. It may be that the only mistake was the one he made on his forms.

I don't care what you "expanded." You don't get to put words in my mouth and then expect me to defend your strawman. What you put quotes around is not anything I wrote.

I'm not sure what you don't understand about my answer. The charge they decide on could be nothing. So no, I never implied they had charges lined up. That's more nonsense you cooked up because you can't deal with reality.

LOLOLOL I didnt. Look how upset you are! Hilarious. You wrote "That's up to them to decide" after I asked what charges a foreign govt would bring against Abrego Garcia. Because you obviously assumed he'd committed a crime. See the first sentence below? ⬇️And then to imply the other govt would be able to charge him for trafficking here? 🤣🤣

A foreigner trafficking foreigners? Maybe just let the foreign government(s) "seek justice."

Justice for what? :D

Yeah you can try putting that out here now, lol but it doesnt pass muster after what you started out with. What's the big deal? Get over it and move on.

So if someone makes a mistake that has a negative impact on your life, are you doing to just shrug your shoulders and say, "Well, stuff happens!"

Hell, no, you'd be out there screaming your head off about it and you know it.

This guy didn't have a problem for 10 years, until a human reptile named Steven Miller decided he was going to screw with everyone in the immigration system.

"This guy" created a problem when he missed a required filing date that was part of the process of getting naturalized.

No one "decided...to screw with everyone in the immigration system." The voters decided they wanted out immigration laws to be enforced. Neither you know I know why a decision was made to detain this man, although it certainly seems to have been unnecessary, and overkill. If what was done turns out to have been illegal, I certainly hope that he's able to get a sizeable settlement from the government.

But whether I wold have been screaming about it if it happened to me, we have to expect that the government - run by either party - is going to screw up from time to time when dealing with very large numbers of people. The best we can hope for is that the victim of their screw-ups isn't permanently injured and gets compensated for his trouble.

Oh no! 😭

:LOL:Dont worry, you'll put it all behind you. It's just the Internetz, no one you know will ever see it.

So let's take a father of five and put him in prison for a paperwork error. Yup, that makes sense to me!

I doubt anyone saw what Trump was planning on doing, and more voters voted against Trump than for him.

Oh, bullshit, you'd be screaming about your rights being violated. You guys scream like little sissies when the government tries to regulate water flow in shower heads.

No, on it's face it makes no sense. Let's find out more about it.

Does that make you feel better? He got more votes than anyone else, popular and electoral. That's how our system works.

As a matter of fact, I can't recall ever screaming about anything. But, sadly, you guys don't recognize unnecessary government control of our lives that's just for the sake of control.

You are working on the assumption that we should give Cheeto Hitler and ICE Barbie the benefit of the doubt, despite all the bad faith cases they've raised so far.

Does that make you feel better? He got more votes than anyone else, popular and electoral. That's how our system works.

Our system isn't working. If it were working, Trump would have been removed during his first term using the 25th Amendment or impeachment.

Now we have a president throwing Americans in secret prisons and shaking down news organizations for protection money, and you are oh, so fine with it.

I'm working on the assumption that someone who uses the word, "Hitler," to refer to any American is full of shit and ignorant.

The 25th doesn't apply and you tried impeachment - twice - and failed. Go ahead and try it again, since libs never learn from their failures.

I can't be fine with it. There are no "secret prisons" and CBS did something stupid, trying to affect the election. They should have lost their broadcast license.

He said he was tortured.

That's how Donald Trump and Stephen Miller and MAGA are going to keep brown people out of this country

With the threat of torture.

And then many of them will go to church.

I'm so glad God is watching.

actually, that's my point. We have a system for getting rid of crazy presidents, but we aren't using it, mostly because Republicans are cowards.

I'm working on the assumption that someone who uses the word, "Hitler," to refer to any American is full of shit and ignorant.

Well, Orange Adolf should stop acting like Hitler, and people wouldn't do that.

And our antebellum Supreme Court dismisses the 14th amendment that should have kept him off the ballot.

Actually, that was a bogus argument. Especially since not even Jack Smith charged Trump with insurrection or anything like that.

Democrats keep hoping the system will "take care" of Trump and they keep coming up short, because they aren't willing to do the hard work to win back the people who have no common cause with Billionaires, but have been alienated by the Democrats in the last few decades.

And yet Biden finished his term - or someone finished it for him and forgot to tell the rest of us.

Personally, I agree that someone should have invoked the 25th Amendment on Biden, probably long before that debate with Trump.

This doesn't mean we should all pretend that Trump doesn't have some serious cognitive issues.
