Truck driver works just fine. Why some try to make the job sound more than it is I have no idea. Trucker also works. I don't get offended when I somebody calls me that. Its what my job is when I am doing that. I kinda wish I could do it a bit more. Not as many people to deal with. I run a business and do the logistics side mostly now. Logistics for those of you who don't know is the movements of goods via all sorts of transportation, rail, truck, airplane, ship, alpaca, donkey, whatever.

You obviously don't understand the law, nor the logistics involved in arresting those drivers and impounding their trucks, not to mention the problems it would cause for the consumers who are expecting that freight to be delivered, on time and in one piece. OR, the liability the authorities would shoulder, by impounding all that freight.
