1. I can't remember, are you a parent?

As my wife and I are planning...Perhaps they are or will adopt any child in need. Can they not have a child of their own without being total selfish hypocritical asss-holes?

The public school comment was off the mark. IT is the kids that attend public schools, not the system itself that is to blame. Kids that go to Private Schools have parents that value education more and that is why they generally do better, that and the whole "Frat Club" mentality. Have you or anybody else that is critical gone to and taught at both public and private schools?

Probably was unfair. That was so long ago I don't remember the whole post or context and I don't feel like looking it up....do you have a link?

Anyway I'm sure it was in some way replying to the idea that couples who are infertile aren't hurt by abortion because there are plenty of older kids available for adoption even though healthy babies are rare in the US. My point was most couples aren't able or ready to adopt an older child with multiple problems so they are in fact hurt by the lack of adoptable newborns in the US. And I was pointing out that it was ridiculous to claim they(the infertile couples) should be more concerned about the older children needing homes like the prochoicers were. When in fact if that were true then the person making the statement would have adopted vs having their own new clean slate child.

And no I did not adopt my children. Though I am considering the possiblity of adopting when my children are much older. I'd like to give a child that has the odds stacked against them in life a chance however I don't feel I'm quite ready for that now and I wouldn't do it when my children were little as I feel raising them is my first priority.

Does that answer it for ya Bodi???

Older children that are up for adoption generally and unfortunately come with alot of freaking baggage. Not every couple is ready for or capable of dealing with that kind of shite.

Thus, when someone says that due to abortion there are no longer any cute healthy babies available in the US and not everyone has the $$$$ to import a baby from abroad......

and someone else....generally a frothing feminist prochoicer starts yapping away about all the "older children" looking for homes right here in the good old USA ......


then clearly it's my job to call bullshite and point out the difference between a brand new clean slate baby and a child that unfortunately might be a little pre-phuckeded up!

Anotherwards I think you have to be quite the asshooooole to claim that infertile couples should care more about adopting the older kids that need a home vs trying to adopt a baby......especially when you happen to be pregnant at the time!

Well I was trying to leave her out of it currently. While I'm completely comfortable replying to one of her posts I'm not as comfortable talking about her when she isn't around and she didn't initiate the conversation.

But I will say I wasn't calling her a hypocrite for being pregnant vs adopting a crack whore's baby! I was calling her a hypocrite for suggesting that an infertile couple should adopt the crack whore pyro baby and quit b*tching about the lack of healthy babies due to abortion.
