It does not sound as if there will be enough votes to see the back of her.
This vote was triggered by the Hard Brexiteers that sold the public an unrealistic vision in the first place, but if you broke it you bought it!
Good luck to the UK, they will need it.
About time. She cant even get Brexit off the ground. A total incompetent. Boris Johnson ought to be PM.
From what I understand she has brought this upon herself by refusing to exit the EU. She has been defying what the people voted for. Now she is paying a heavy political price.https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-46535739
UK Prime Minister Theresa May faces a vote of confidence in her leadership later after 48 of her Conservative MPs called for one to be held.
But a defiant Mrs May vowed to contest the vote "with everything I have got".
She warned that a new prime minister would be faced with the choice of "delaying or even stopping Brexit".
A majority of Tory MPs have publicly said they will back the PM in the vote, which runs for two hours from 18:00 GMT, but it is a secret ballot.
Disastrous few weeks for May comes to a head later this evening and if she doesn't survive it then the consequences for Brexit and the economy could be extremely negative. I'm not a huge fan Of May's but I genuinely don't envy her position and I think she got the best possible deal that we could get.

We are seeing this all over the world. We voted an outsider in here, Italy did the same. Globalism in France and Germany are both in trouble.

I thought it was the opposite but I dont follow it closely. On the contrary she’s been trying to strike a deal to get us out the EU. Getting a deal that people want however has proved the biggest hurdle. Europe haven’t exactly moved mountains to let us leave and she’s come up against a lot of opposition here as well.
It must scare the Dickens out of a socialist like yourself that there is nationalistic populistic movement growing all around you.Wrong..
37% of the people voted to leave.. the rest either did not vote or voted against.
She should never have been in the position in the first place. Remember she was at first a non elected Prime Minister, and when she finally tried to grab more power by calling an early election.. she then failed to gain a majority and has to rely on a small Northern Ireland fanatical Christian party to stay in power. On top of that, the party she is in, has been in civil war over Europe for 40 years and that does not help one bit. In fact many would claim that Brexit was a Tory party civil war spreading outside the party into the population.
No, has nothing to do with this. And this globalism bs has to stop... and when will people starting calling it for what it is when someone claims "globalsim".
I am not a socialist... far from it. And yes I am worried about the rise of neo Nazi facist ideology in the US and Europe and now in Brazil. It must scare the Dickens out of a socialist like yourself that there is nationalistic populistic movement growing all around you.

I am confused why 2 years after the vote the UK is still tied to the EU. I was under the impression that she was Englands version of what we call RINOs here.On the contrary, she’s supports Brexit as a popular demand and consistently berates Corbyn from the dispatch box for opposing it and calling for another referendum. The problem is that the Brexit minister position has been a revolving door and there’s no such thing as a deal that will make everyone happy.

She survives but the vote doesn’t look great, hardly an endorsement

I am curious what has her hands so tied that 2 years later and the exit plan is still being debated.

Boris wouldn't touch that toxic job if they begged him. Easier to sit on the sidelines and spout unrealistic BS.
I think the UK's least distasteful option is to take a mulligan and schedule another referendum (Hard, Soft, No) complete with the a dummies guide to Brexit. If the Brits still vote for Leave, well good on 'em, and they can say goodbye to Scotland and Northern Ireland as well.
I'm not a May fan, she wanted to be PM and she got the prize, but she can hardly be faulted alone for what was always going to be a sh*tshow.

Indyref2 is coming soon and the shambles of brexit has pushed the majority of Scots towards Independence .... because both the Tories and Red Tories are in utter chaos no leadership just division and hatred ... the UK is all but finished and the SNP & Scottish Greens will trigger a section 30 in late january ... had the vote went ahead on tuesday it would have been triggered this week ... the only option of stopping Indyref 2 is cancelling Brexit but that would lead to mass riots throughout England and Wales
