The World Is Running Out Of Camembert Cheese (1 Viewer)

Never heard of it. As long as sharp cheddar doesn't go the way of the dinosaurs, I'm good..

I read it today.
Though this article is not new - it seems to be true and topical recently.

If Camembert goes, maybe some German cheese will have a chance .....
Or German-Swiss cheese.

This would be a sad thing indeed.

Camembert is a wonderful cheese, but I prefer brie, it holds up better when baked in filo dough or pie crust and slathered with apricot preserves...now I'm hungry for brie.
Yum

I'm not really a fan of it, so someone can have my portion. I can eat it but it would not be my first choice. I'd rather have blue.

I love blue cheese on a burger with bacon, and heirloom tomatoes.
I get heartburn with blue cheese or burgers because its so rich but I have Tums. Once in a while it needs to be done.

I can eat blue choose on toasted baguette. Blue cheese mixed equally with cream cheese makes an amazing spread or dip for chips.

I'm more of a Kerrygold Irish extra extra sharp white cheddar person myself. When I can afford it, if not Wisconsin makes awesome sharp cheddars!

I've never had Kerrygold white. I like Tillamook cheddar in stores. Some of the Amish make very good cheddar and Swiss cheese locally to me.

OMG! Never considered Amish cheeses! (Grew up about 30 miles from Lancaster, PA) LOVED their smorgasbords but never experienced their cheeses. I'll eat almost any cheese as long as it doesn't come out of a pressurized can!

I agree. I love blue cheese in just about anything. Always makes it better.

Growing up in eastern Pa I didn't realize Ohio had Amish people until I left the north! I thought Lancaster Pa was the epicenter! So you guys know what it's like to enter their other-worldly realm! I loved it, it was like stepping way back in time...I miss it!

My wife is from Ashland and that place is awesome.

There’s one in the Fairlawn mall as well.

Summit mall or one of the many strip malls in Fairlawn?

The World Is Running Out Of Camembert Cheese

I read about this today - in an article in German.

3 reasons:

- the drought
- a good Camembert is so expensive, that most French cannot afford it any more
- the French do not take as many hours for their meals as they used to in the past

Summit mall or one of the many strip malls in Fairlawn?
in the mall itself, down the hall a little bit from the food court
