For those of you who have ever debated someone, and who runs into the "Why do you Hate" rebuttal...this is a tactic to throw you on the defense in debating and relive them of answering your statements.

EXAMPLES below

i disagree with the current EPA Polices

why do you hate the EPA and want to pollute our planet

i disagree WITH SSM

why do you hate gay people?

we have to strengthen the border, and work harder to stop legal immigration.

why do you hate Mexicans?

government programs are out of control

why do you hate poor people?

i don't like what government is doing?

why do you hate the government?

i dont belive in climate change and what people say about it

why do you hate the people trying to save our planet?

There are, of course, other reasons to ask people why they hate. I use it as an illustration of how their arguments appear. My favorite is "why do you hate America?", which is not designed to put any one on the defensive(I know they do not actually), but to illustrate how their arguments sound and/or the flaw in their argument. Asking questions is a sound debate practice, and any one should be able to handle them with ease if they want to debate politics.

I actually love poor, black, gay, Mexican EPA workers. How many of them are there? Anybody?

Because all they have is emotion and opinion and it can not stand up the facts of reality.

As having been the person whom you chose on a number of occasions to play the "Why to you Hate XYZ " tactic on, I find your lecturing here both ironic, and hilariously hypocritical.

Why do you hate black middle to upper class business owners?

I gave you more answer than you deserved on :

But you insisted on upping the ante, by doing it again!

Why do you hate black kids? Why do you frame everything as about race?

And doubled down again...
Have you managed to come up with an explanation of why you only care about white business owners and white children?

I guess we can at least give you points for consistency and gall ... but OHHHHHHhhhhhh, the Irony of your making a post on this thread!

Did you really think we wouldn't notice!?

So tell me, why did you never respond to my simple reply in post#91?

To busy trying to demagogue I guess...

You know he will not reply right?

I hate this thread. Why is it that conservatives are always looking for "legitimate" reasons to hate? Let's not forget that hate is an action, not a feeling, so no matter how you feel about gay people, if you're trying to make them second class citizens, you're hating them. If you act in ways that make the lives of the poor more difficult, that too is hate.

I'm surprised the OP is so against democracy. It is the system that allows people to hate anonymously while telling themselves they're doing their civic duty. Every vote against equality for gay people in marriage or equality for the poor in education, housing or jobs IS hate. Yet, it seems to be the GOP platform. Again, I think we're stuck talking about semantics while real people are being denied social equality and we're talking about religious freedom while people are being oppressed.

I wish all you guys did was talk about it on this forum. Then, charges of hate would be hyperbole. Unfortunately, you turn your feelings into hateful action far too often...every time you vote.

You forgot:

What specific Obama policy led to private sector job creation?

You hate Obama!

The only thing missing from the red is the usual "because you can't stand to see a black man in the White House".

How about ignoring people that say that because they don't the intelligence level to debate anything.

It is not, and never was about any one actually having true "Hate". It is about Flamebait Accusitorial Questions injected into civil debate.

It is about a disreputable debate / political tactic of posing a question in a way that ASSUMES the Hatred on the part of the person being questioned, by making the phrasing of the question based on the premise of the suggested hatred.

We've been over all of this on other forums as well.

If you were a White Middle to Upper Class Business Owner in Baltimore, what now? - Page 4
Post #38

I originally made that post reply in response to a Progressive-Fascist Liberal Poster Hack on another forum who kept pounding in questions like:

Why do you HATE Black Business owners?

And

Why do you HATE Black Kids?

Which are, of course, nothing but flamebait accusitorial questions which "Assume the Hate" on the person being attacked as the unstated premise of the question, so no matter how you answer the question, the false, unproven, hyperbolic premise is then validated by the very person being accused.

So, the problem was, how do I answer the question without validating the premise of the flamebait, entrapment questions?

Answer: Use a video which DOCUMENTS, with diverse news sources, the epidemic of politically motivated Black on White Violent Crime!

-

People interested in HONEST, Civil Debate, do not need to resort to such low tactics and hyperbole.

That has to be the ultimate "gotcha" rebuttal.

Very nice work.

Not only are the examples given classic, but each seems to be trolling, drive by one line bait comments like:

This isn't even in the category of debate, more like adolescent name calling

The tactic is usually followed by attempts at insults like "bigot" or "racist".
Its like the old gay marriage. Don't agree with it? You must "hate" gays. If you hate gays you must be homophobic.
Its just a circular argument you see here time and again.

I use the phrase all the time. It's a parody of the "why do you hate America/freedom/the troops" bull**** the right-wing does constantly.

hate is not an action...unless it becomes physical.......or do you subscribe to the notion that peoples feelings are protect by law?

as for democracy as a FORM of government, yes it a vile evil form of government.........James Madison father of the constitution--democracy is a vile form of government.

as for you other parts of your post, they are just plain emotion based rants...

no where in this post did you see anything of a social party slant. [R OF D].......the thread was why do people used the word "hate" rebuttal, when faced with a statement which may concern many different issues........the answer is easy.....the statement cannot be rebutted, because the person replying does not have anything.

Protecting marriage is not "hating" anyone.

Democracy is a system of mob rule that is why the Founders were so hard against it.

No such thing as "social equality", just a myth made up to sway the weak minded.

Shock this thread went under this soon..

The tactic is usually followed by attempts at insults like "bigot" or "racist".

When the poster says something bigoted or racist, that's an appropriate response. Too often, ignorant racist BS is tolerated by the right. Why is that?

Its like the old gay marriage. Don't agree with it? You must "hate" gays. If you hate gays you must be homophobic.

Hating people for being gay is the very freakin' DEFINITION of homophobic. Jesus, how you'd love to redefine your own pathology as "normal". Own it, if you can, but don't do the constant denial thing.

Its just a circular argument you see here time and again.

Saying the bible proves itself is circular. Then, saying that the bible condemns gay people to be undeserving equality in America, when there is no mandate that our laws parallel biblical admonishments, is circular. What is linear is the history of entitlement by Christians and other conservatives to oppress and deny equality to selected groups of humans for their own gratification.

I wish dumb were painful. Church pews would be equipped with a morphine drip for participants.

You just claim they are when they take a different stance then you can prove you wrong.

The modern definition of 'racist' is someone who's winning an argument with a liberal-Peter Brimalow.

So not wanting your Freedom of Association trampled on or having the institution of marriage trampled means a person "hates gays"?

Not the issue here.
'Then again it your leftist really love revising history dont you?

Quote anyone stating that they "hate gays" on here. You know the actual words "HATE GAYS". Not just disagree, not just not buy into, not just against the agenda.
But actually HATE GAYS.
You cant.
