Is anybody besides me still watching TWD?
Anyway, it appears walkers have learned to talk. That means they can communicate to coordinate attacks. We're in deep poop now!

ZERO walkers can talk . . .
That's kinda cryptic - care to expand on it?
I've watched from day one, but I think that this "talking Dead" is kind of a "jump the shark" moment.
Honestly, I've wanted to give up on it for years now, but it's a thing my 19 year old and I do together, so I'll watch until she gets tired of it.
why yes if you actually want to know, i just didnt want to spoil anything . . .
"walkers" arent talking but people dressed/disguised as walkers are talking. they are the next foe and they are called "the whispers" . . .
at first it was a survival tactic then it took on a new form...
Thanks. And that doesn't spoil anything, at least not for me - actually makes it even more intriguing.

The views peaked a few years ago and then dropped. I heard they have recently increased.
Read the comics and you will know what the "Whispers" are.

I stopped watching after 8 seasons when it became evident that the walking dead are really us viewers watching the same thing happen over and over again.
Did it get any better in the last season?

I stopped watching as well. It just slowly became more and more a night time soap and pointless. The problem is that its a zombie show that forgot that its a zombie show. I liked the show a lot at first. But as soon as they made it clear that it was about the characters and not the zombies it became like porn without the porn. Its like they thought that people who watch zombie shows care about character development as if it were something more than just a zombie show.
They would have been better of just dropping the entire zombie thing and just made it a post apocalyptic show, based on something logical.
And now with them going to make a Rick movie it will most likely just get worse.
Wow, tough crowd!Seriously, what you guys say is true. However, I disagree about it being a zombie show - it never was. The zombies are in the background just as a catalyst for the interaction among the humans - in that regard, "night time soap" is pretty accurate. I guess it's one of those you either love or hate - I love it!
Yes we all know that the walking dead are Rick and his group. I cannot imagine by now that anyone watching does not know that. I really liked the show at first. But the format left me disappointed in what could have been. All the season plots are predictable and the character interaction is extremely lacking. My comparison to porn was in the essence that porn without sex scenes is just bad acting. With TWD it isnt bad acting of course, but bad writing. And when you shift the zombies to the background you are just left with bad writing. AMC also completely ignored its fan base and their past time of thinking of what they would do in a zombie apocalypse. Instead of giving us situations with zombies to think about they give us a perverted lame version of the comic book. Given that they were willing to kill off Carl means that they could have done things much better since obviously they were never concerned with canon. Back when they were on the farm and they were starting to lose their fan base they did not learn anything about what the fans wanted. I really do not know why the show it still on the air at this point. Most people stopped watching already.
Like I said, love it or hate it.
Looking at the ratings it would seem that most people hate it. Which is a shame, since it was a good show. They should have done like the show Lost and went out on a high note, but greed got in the way.
A spoiler alert would've been nice.
It went into a slump for a while - I think that's when it lost a lot of viewers. I stuck it out and, and in my opinion at least, it has improved over the last couple seasons. Unfortunately, those lost viewers haven't come back.
