I stopped watching as well. It just slowly became more and more a night time soap and pointless. The problem is that its a zombie show that forgot that its a zombie show. I liked the show a lot at first. But as soon as they made it clear that it was about the characters and not the zombies it became like porn without the porn. Its like they thought that people who watch zombie shows care about character development as if it were something more than just a zombie show.
They would have been better of just dropping the entire zombie thing and just made it a post apocalyptic show, based on something logical.
And now with them going to make a Rick movie it will most likely just get worse.
Yes we all know that the walking dead are Rick and his group. I cannot imagine by now that anyone watching does not know that. I really liked the show at first. But the format left me disappointed in what could have been. All the season plots are predictable and the character interaction is extremely lacking. My comparison to porn was in the essence that porn without sex scenes is just bad acting. With TWD it isnt bad acting of course, but bad writing. And when you shift the zombies to the background you are just left with bad writing. AMC also completely ignored its fan base and their past time of thinking of what they would do in a zombie apocalypse. Instead of giving us situations with zombies to think about they give us a perverted lame version of the comic book. Given that they were willing to kill off Carl means that they could have done things much better since obviously they were never concerned with canon. Back when they were on the farm and they were starting to lose their fan base they did not learn anything about what the fans wanted. I really do not know why the show it still on the air at this point. Most people stopped watching already.
LMAO at all this crying
I still love the show. I have found it slow at times but still love it and the character stuff is the best part. People in fact DO like the characters. Its what makes people relate the most and cringe and wanna watch.
Also you are completely wrong about the fan base and "most people" stopped watching LMAO . . .Shane died in season two episode 12 and the ratings were still climbing they were not dropping. Th highest watched season was season 5 so you have no idea what you are talking about.
You may be disappointed and that is fine but your claims about fan base and most people not watching anymore is completely wrong. In fact AMC is so happy with things (since its their highest rated show ever) that they are all in doing spinoffs, mini series and tv movies. Yes the ratings have fell to its lowest in years but they are still the higher than any other AMC show.
