So today, the Tennessee GOP ousted the two black politicans from the Tennessee House of Representatives, Rep. Justin Jones and Rep. Justin Pearson, but Rep. Gloria Johnson survived her vote.

If this isn't the most blatantly racist shit I've seen this month, I don't know what is. All three of these representatives participated in the same "Insurrection" event, yet the white one survives, the two black politicans get expelled.

Not only is this expulsion fascist bullshit on the part of the Tennessee GOP, but it's racist bullshit. ****ing disgusting how overtly racist this party is, and how it has absolutely zero shame.
 
here are the events so far

1. Kids died
2. The state legislature refused to do anything about it
3. A protest happened by other kids who don’t want to also die
4. The legislature decided to be racist

I read somewhere that those two legislators were instrumental in getting some confederate statues removed.
 
This is the message Republicans are sending to the next generation of voters.

If you refuse to teach a white supremacist version of history, they want you fired.
If you believe people shouldn't be ostracized from society for how they look or love, they will call you a groomer and a pedophile.
They are more offended by peaceful protests against gun violence than they are children with their heads blown off.
If you attempt to hold them accountable for criminal behavior, they will threaten Civil War.

They know they have no future, so they are going to cause as much harm as they can while they are still relevant.
 
Tennessee is going to turn blue anyway.
Nothing the GOP tries to do, no stunt they attempt, is going to change the tidal wave.

It's a pattern being repeated in MAGA state after MAGA state and the most pathetic part is the notion that they think it's going to preserve their imaginary lock on power.
But I guarantee you that they are sealing their fate right now because the supply of fat old angry MAGA white supremacists is dwindling fast and it's never going to be reversed.
No amount of book banning, or education cuts, or summary judgments against legislators they don't like, or even lynchings, is going to alter the course of history in the end.

Trump made it OK to disregard laws you don't like. He emboldened the radical riech wing to make it ok to defy reason; double down on breaking bad. Tennessee's good old boys don't want to play fair ever. They've jerrymandered the house to less than 30% democrat.

Not sure about that , they have Gerrymandered the voting districts so bad it will be hard for anybody on the left to get elected unless they are in one of the few Dem districts
because of this their state Government and Fed Congressmen will remain Republicans for some time to come
