The tactics of the far left

What would you see as leading up to those events?
That is a very difficult question to answer.

What has led up to the present circumstances in the US have been many many different factors.

One of those factors is, I think, what the corporate governmental business and global ‘community’ wants to make of the US. To fit it into a larger whole as a sort of *cog*. To do this the country must be denatured, if you will.

The processes that the political Left seem to clammor for are, in truth, processes of the installation of socialism. I think this is a fact and it should be faced. Some on this thread will regard my mention of *socialism* as a red-herring of the Right. I adamantly disagree.

Recently, we have seen massive collusion between the governmental sector (one specific faction within it) and the Tech sector (which controls the digital world and the transmission of information) team up in such a way so as to subvert the presidency of a man (and amovement) they determined to be a threat.

I think examining this — how it happened, who was involved with it very much behind the scenes and invisibly — indicate something to the effect of “they will stop at nothing” to achieve their particular will.

But definining what that will is — what it is, what stands behind it — involves examining larger, meta-structures.

I definitely do not in any sense trust the political Left in the US right now. It is one thing to support progressive labor policy or the strengthening of the American working family — the former values of the political left, and values I support — and quite another to support groups like BLM and Antifa (and all that is associated with the Critical Theory*) with their openly destructive agenda and ideology.

as long as it says Democrats are evil.
But the real issue, the real problem, and what really is needed, seems to be implied in what you are saying: there is something that we might call *evil* that is working within the body-politic of the United States, don’t you honestly and truly think that?

But the definition of what that *evil* is — what it’s nature is — is what is fought over.

So the question arises: Is this *evil* a real thing? And if so who will we refer to that offers a *true and genuine analysis* of what it is?

Or is it that we must remain in a ‘cloud of unknowing’ in which nothing can be definitively known? Nothing settled, nothing understod?

The great irony is that if moderate or conservative politicians, and their constituents, could ever bring themselves to address and solve the crushing economic inequity that afflicts the United States of America, and which prevents working class families from prospering, then they would rob radical groups like BLM or Antifa of most of their political power.

But of course, they could never do that, because the political power of moderates and conservatives is built upon wealthy business interests, not the working class.

They cheered on the exact policies that created this situation under Reagan.

I tend to agree with this. I just can’t visualize what political arrangement you envision that would address and redress the problem.

Then what are we doing here....? Wasting time?

Yeah, good point, yet I know there are lurkers watching who do not post, so maybe for their sake we are all here.

There are plenty of POLICIES that could start to address the inequality... Things like changes in taxation rates, universal healthcare, low cost or free post secondary education, etc. All opposed by those on the right... The reality of markets today is that they will continue to become more and more unequal without major changes in the US. We will reach a breaking point if we don't start to take steps to address economic inequality.

I'm not the one who needs to visualize and address it. The moderates and the conservatives need to do that, or they will ultimately lose their political power to the radicals.

There are extreme elements on both sides that threaten to destroy our governmental and economic systems.

There are actual Marxists in the Democratic party. And there are monarchists and dominionists within the Republican party.

Dialysis caller?

This is what's wrong with the right. Any random blog is a trustworthy source as long as it says Democrats are evil.

The subject in that article is the truth and all you got is wha, wha, wha, say it ain't so.

It's an option piece on an opinion website. They have the right to say it but that doesn't make it fact. You can't even tell the difference.

Apparently you never read the article, for the writer pointed out several "false narratives" run by the left and msm, then pointed to their falsity for them being proven wrong in their attacks. Please point out one of those points that are not true.....come on.

In this thread I'd like to discuss the tactics used today by our fellow American's...In this time of division among us, we see certain aspects of narcissism coming to the forefront in some people...It is troubling...We don't speak TO each other anymore, as much as we do speak OVER each other in a way where NOTHING will ever be discussed civilly...

Now, I can assure you my oponents in here would deny that they ever use the tactics discussed in the article I am posting, and flip the script to say that I am the narcissist here, even that posting this very thread proves it...Wrong...I'm just a guy in here that is looking for a way to get back to actual debate, rather than the circus we have in here now where people from both sides seem to think there is something to win by humiliating their opponent, and bullying them into silence....It's toxic...

So, let's see if we can have a discussion, and/or how long it will take to devolve into just another bait, and troll fest....

You refer to other Americans as your “opponents” but please do explain how desperate you are to get back to civility.

When you say “far left” who is that, exactly? You guys label everyone far left.

Hilarious!!!!

In a read with "tactics of the far left" in the title, you expect to have a nice even handed conversation.

Sure thing, buckaroo.

This thread isn't about who is President of the United States....Maybe you're in the wrong thread.

We can’t have a convo about civility without discussing the GOP standard bearer. Sorry, but it over half of all Republicans legit believe he’s still potus, that there is why we have so much hostility.

You guys insist “compromise” means you get to keep power even when you lose elections. Nope.

As I said, there is no line for you between fact and opinion. There seems to be an epidemic of that these days.

One of the false narratives fostered by the left from the article:

Trump said white supremacists were ‘fine people’

Biden launched his presidential campaign in 2019 with a video that mischaracterized comments made by Trump in which he allegedly said there were “fine people” on both sides at the deadly Charlottesville rally. CNN commentator Keith Boykin claimed later that Trump had a “long history of inciting his supporters to violence,” claiming he “saw it with the 2017 Charlottesville march of ‘very fine people.'”

Trump did no such thing. RealClearPolitics fact checked Trump’s statement, noting his comment is often taken out of context.
Here’s what Trump actually said at the press conference in question:
“Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me, I saw the same pictures you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name,” Trump said, before going further to clarify himself.
“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”

So, I take it you of the ilk who actually believe in the "Charlottesville Lie"?....huh.

I wouldn’t say that is true anymore than you liberals have sold your souls to Marxism.

Oh? Can you show us the Marxist polices and laws that have been passed?

Some of that may be true, but there has to come a point where even you get bored with the constant bickering?

We saw the video of him praising Nazis. Then he told the Proud Boys to go commit violence if he didn’t win.

Trump loves white nationalists. The GOP base now is comprised of a dead end ideology. Look at MGT.

It’s not bickering. The GOP’s default stance now is that no Democrat wins election legally. That’s just not a small thing to gloss over or agree to disagree on.
