The State of the Presidency, 2012

I disagree. Obama didn't say a word about it. That's consent. That's reflective of the attitude of this administration.

Someone with the nickname that you selected from all the possibilities has little room for complaint.

My neighbor's dog got into my trash the other day. You did not say **** about it. That is consent. Why do you approve of uncontrolled animals?

The President has the mental capacity of a dog?

No it is not consent. You want to push it off as constent because you want to try and pin anything on Obama, when in reality Obama did the right thing by not addressing it and giving it a headline Secondly, if it was about his administration he would have apologized.

Okay. Fine by me. We now have a new standard for campaign fundraisers.

Obama's silence allows what was said to fade away without adding to the problem. If he comments it only adds to the news.

Obama doesn't mind commenting when a Marxist professor pal of his gets arrested and arranging a photo op at a "Beer Summit". Obama doesn't mind commenting and calling up Sandra Fluke. Oh yeah, tell us all about what the President comments and doesn't comment on. We're all ears.

I'm not the topic, dear.
I think in a way by your selection of nickname you are. You are an example of what you are complaining about. The name can be seen as offensive and you had a choice. Now you bitch about someone using the word ****. Hmmm I find this rather ironic.

He decided not to bring more negative attention to this. You see the video of the two guys who kissed at the Santorum speech. He had them thrown out. It created a big deal. There is nothing wrong with people of the same sex kissing he thinks there is and so by tossing them out he made them heroes.

Since you insist, which part of my nickname do you find offensive. Please be specific.

Who is the singer saying "F-you" and giving the finger to?

Maybe he was just having fun? The lead singer of my favorite band(Amy Lee) flipped off the crowd after a song at a show and the crowd went wild because it was a funny thing. And people aren't trying to find fault in every little thing, and have a yearning to be offended.

I just find the timing and event to be in poor taste for that kind of entertainment. I like good ole rock and roll and I like it loud and an "F-You" doesn't offend me at a rock n roll show. I guess I just have a little more respect for the office than some people do. At least it appears that way to me. Call me old fashioned.

I didn't think you would be apart of the political correctness police.

Well, I don't think I am. There are all kinds of people at a Presidential fundraiser. There are very young children there along with people with religious beliefs I would assume. Obama is not going to win the elderly Black female Christian vote with that kind of stuff. I know. I attended a black church off and on because my friend's family went there. Those elderly Black women would box your ears if you did stuff like that in front of them.

How about a baseball game? Would that be appropriate entertainment for a family event like a baseball game? I don't think so. How about a parade on Memorial Day? Fourth of July? Presidential fundraiser? I don't think it's appropriate.

The entire nickname is offensive and it makes what you are trying to say in this post a joke. You use an off color name and you want to complain about using a word. It rings hollow. I might have been able to take your feeling offense to the comment seriously under a different name. Now I find it just a troll to bitch about what Obama let slide. The OP together with the nickname makes the poster look foolish.

I certainly think you are being PC about the word **** at a fundraiser. Yet your own choice has made the OP ridiculous and whiny.

If your complaining about this, you are.

Seriously it's just a word, and no one is getting hurt by hearing a word. Be they children, the elderly, the religious, or the slightly annoying.

I thought you would be more accepting, tolerant, and culturally enlightened than this than to be offended by a person's name. I am thoroughly disappointed.

So this would be appropriate at a family event like a baseball game for an aftergame concert?

You've ever been to a sporting event? I can't tell you how many times I've heard "Grow some ****ing balls you stupid *****!!" at a hockey game, yelled out by grown women.

Besides, I don't believe ****, ****, bitch, ****, damn, asshole, to be more morally reprehensible than the word refrigerator.

I've been to many baseball and hockey games and I've never heard that kind of language. If someone talked like that then they would be noticed pretty quickly and told to cap it.

I would have joined in, especially if our team was sucking. Those words are only offensive if we let them be. It is more important to take the meaning, and the context of the words to heart, not just the fact that someone said it, which is what you were doing by making this thread. You were offended by the mere fact that someone said a "no no" word, and nothing more. I for one, don't want to live in a society where we have to tiptoe around everything we say.

I don't need to be offended by the name. The juxtaposition of the name to your complaint about the word is what I find remarkably silly. How can you take offense to what anyone says when you make such a statement. If my nick name was E T Mypuss It would be foolish of me to complain about what anyone says. That would make me look like an ass.
