The Reason People Hate Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg has devoted her life to justice and morality, and in doing so, she exposes the immorality of people who seek injustice. She is among the best of us, and she brings attention to causes that people find uncomfortable or are ideologically committed to opposing.

People who are morally bankrupt hate a do-gooder, because they cynically believe people should be in it for themselves and not for the good of others.
There is more to it. Her gender is something they find problematic, a woman shouldn't be a leading figure in the discourse in their mind. These are the people who hate every woman who speaks up. They fear a woman who has strong opinions and convictions, it makes them feel less masculine, only men are supposed to matter.

Greta Thunberg comes across much like a child movie star who is no longer adorable, and has to up the ante to find some new way to stay relevant. David Hogg followed a similar path.

In a certain sense, I feel bad for them. But only in a certain sense. These are now grown-ass adults who are choosing to be charlatans in exchange for money and/or fame.
She might not be able to help it because of her autism and narcissism. I blame the parents for indulging her instead of getting her therapy.

What makes her a "legit good person"? You just said that she doesn't have to participate in saving the planet because she's doing big important stuff.

That's not what I said at all. I said that anyone who engages in acts of importance is going to create a carbon footprint. The only way to NOT have a carbon footprint is to kill yourself. Protest causes a carbon foot print. Should people not protest? Or are they being "hypocrites"?

And yet her main claim to fame is shouting at others about saving the planet. Sounds like a Catch-22.

No, you just have a very limited capacity to hold conflicting thoughts in your head. Like a typical right-winger. I expect nothing more of you.

You like her because she scolds people about climate change, while excusing her own hypocrisy on the issue because she's too important to be subjected to the same moral code.

Again, this is baby-brain speak. That if she doesn't walk to Gaza (for example) she's not being true to her mission.

You sound precisely like the people who approvingly listen to televangelists shrieking about sexual degeneracy, even as those same televangelists are secretly visiting prostitutes. Hypocrites, all of you.

You are embarrassing yourself with this display of baby-brain.

Inflicting Greta Thunberg on Hamas is a strategy we haven’t tried yet. Maybe they’ll beg for peace if someone, anyone, just takes her away.

I think she has more to fear from the IDF than Hamas.

Greta is a privileged, sheltered, obnoxious twat who travels the world on the bank of mom and dad to lecture working people about how she thinks they should live.

Oh look, another right-wing critique. Also, why didn't you use the C-word?

I hope she pukes her guts out when she watched the videos of what Hamas did to Israel.

“I congratulate the IDF for the quick and safe takeover of the ‘Madleen’ flotilla to prevent them from breaking the blockade and reaching the shores of Gaza,” Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, said on X.
“I instructed the IDF to show the flotilla passengers the video of the horrors of the October 7 massacre when they arrive at the port of Ashdod,” he wrote.
“It is appropriate that the anti-Semitic Greta and her fellow Hamas supporters see exactly who the Hamas terrorist organization they came to support and for whom they work is, what atrocities they committed against women, the elderly, and children, and against whom Israel is fighting to defend itself,” he explained.
What about all those Palestinian kids and mothers being blown to pieces by the Israelis?

She’s a reminder that evolutionary dead ends happen for a reason.

Well, the right-wing is where morality goes to die. It has nothing to do with genetics. You choose to be a deplorable person, it has nothing to do with DNA.

Yeah, that's something else little Miss Greta should be talking to Hamas about. Hamas has just as little regard for their own people as they do for Israelis.

The IDF engages in everything they accuse of Hamas of, but for real, and on a scale 1000x greater.

Well, he made some actual points, you responded with "right-winger" "baby-brain" name calling. It's obvious which of you has any substance to their argument.

Not even going to pretend to believe in restrictions against "cruel and unusual punishment" anymore?

Look how far the right has fallen. You people are just openly evil now.

Yes we know that someone trying to make the world better makes you angry, calm down. You're jealous that her family has money, but can you just judge her by her goals instead of something she didn't choose? Would you really like her better if she just sat at home on instagram all day posting her new outfit over and over and over again?

Greta Thunberg is a Bolshevik grandstander.

Mark
"Bolshevik" lol someone needs to buy the right wing a dictionary

If you engage in anything of significance in your life, your carbon footprint is going to be larger than people who sit by and do nothing of significance in their lives (i.e. you).

:rolleyes::poop: ^^^

Ime, Greta is being used by ultra-wealthy mass-con$uming environmental hypocrites [Hollyweirdos, stinking politicians, media, etc.] to help make their [hypocritical] case..

It's easy, fun, righteous, etc. to criticize most environmental hypocrites but many decent people are reluctant to criticize Greta because of her mental disorder, etc..

Btw, mental disorder or not, she's right about IZrael...

His points were baby-brained, right-wing and reactionary. Notice how the right-wing's criticism is designed around blunting her ability to protest and be effective. Basically, if she does absolutely nothing (thus generating less carbon emissions), then she won't be a hypocrite.

I'm more interested in her net benefit rather than trying to box advocates into ineffectiveness (and she is an enormous net positive on every issue she delves into). And I don't believe that climate change is best achieved by passing the buck to the individual (the right-wing solution), but rather to promote collective action. As in government policy.

Yes, they would like that. They don't want to have to deal with her advocacy. They believe athletes should shut up and dribble, that socialists should eat grass and give away all their belongings, and that young people (especially young women) should know their place in the hierarchy.

These people cannot argue against anything other than against a caricature of what they perceive their opponents' positions to be.

Is that why she has... continued to engage in the exact same kind of activism since she was a teenager?

I'm reluctant to speak for others, but: I'm quite confident they would easily dismiss your pity.

By the way, I've never seen Thunberg ask for donations. She certainly doesn't sell merch. I guess she sucks at being a "charlatan" and hustler.

I guess she should get some lessons from the conspiracy theorists, liars and maniacs populating the right wing. Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, Glenn Beck... the list goes on.

It’s cruel and unusual punishment to inflict Greta on Gaza. I wouldn’t wish that even on Hamas.
