The Real Reason WHY Obama Is Hated So Much by The Right

How long are you being paid by the Obama campaign? After tomorrow do you come back to the real world and thus reality?

I think what you meant to say was, "thanks for correcting my mistakes."

Just a reminder, this is the thread we're on:

The Real Reason WHY Obama Is Hated So Much by The Right

I'll speak for myself on this one: I don't hate "him", I hate that he's a big government Marxist, hell bent on "transforming" the greatest nation ever, into something European in philosophical nature. Man's a Marxist, and I don't care how loud and long the left says he's not. Proof is in the pudding, and now America has 4 years of an Obama Presidency to judge.

He lies to women. He lies to minorities. And he uses the politics of fear to garner votes. For instance, he says Romney will take away women's birth control. Lie. BY LAW, Romney cant do that. He can't overturn Roe v. Wade either. Only Congress can do that. He can't ban contraception either. The Supreme Court decided that 50 years ago. But Obama lies to gin up fear among those people. It's a disgrace, and he'll pay for it.

America doesn't wan't to go in the direction of larger debt, bigger and more intrusive government, increased wellfare states, and more spending. America doesn't want to go in the direction of "shared prosperity", which is code for redistribution of wealth. We simply wan't to be left alone to make decisions for our selves. But there is a large chunk of America THAT DOES want things given to them. Those people can keep Obama. Give me liberty, give me tax breaks, give me more of my own earned money. Give me my own freedom to choose whether or not I carry insurance. Give ME THE CHOICE. I don't need a President making decisions for me and mine.

The rest of you can have him.....but have him back in Chicago, where he can gin up as much fear among people as he wants. The country doesn't need that kind of devisive rhetoric anymore. We need a leader. We need an Executive. So long manchild.....

That is your opinion, mine is that the results matter to the majority that are voting against Obama. It is hatred of his policies and results more so than the claim he wasn't born in this country. way too late to battle that one. You seem to have a problem with defending the results.

You mean most don't know that the president doesn't control the economy and this isn't China?

The Marxist stuff is the crazy wing nut stuff. He's no Marxist.

There remain many unanswered questions about obama's past. That is not nonsense or hyperbole. It is prefectly legitimate to want to know everything about the person that we put in the most powerful job in the world.

Why don't you care about his hidden past? why don't you care about his marxist mentors? why don't you care about his off-prompter remarks that reveal his true beliefs?

Is your hero worship so great that it overcomes logic and reason?

You are crazy. More than for Bush or Clinton, the guy's biography is an open book. He hasn't hidden anything. Anyone who attends an Ivy as an undergrad and a grad student learns about Marxism and Marxian thought, and those who teach about it are usually specialists in Marxian thought or take Marxian perspectives. It would hardly be surprising if he had a Marxian (not Marxist) mentor in poli sci or soc, for example. I studied with people who found those perspectives useful and even indispensable for understanding an array of past and current European and American theories in various fields in the humanities and social sciences. It was common to say, Marx is good for some things, Weber is good for others. So what? His specialization for his doctorate was in US constitutional law, which is hardly illuminated in any deep way by Marxian thought, and the fresh insights he showed on US constitutional law were way too "organic" in orientation for them to be seriously influenced by Marx. His mentor at Harvard Law and colleagues at University of Chicago Law were not "Marxists." What comments did he ever make off prompter that set you off? Links, or I don't believe you.

What economic results has he generated that warrant another four years? You don't think adding 5.6 trillion to the debt, having 22.7 million unemployed/under employed/discouraged workers, 2% economic results, 47 million Americans on Food stamps warrants firing Obama?

The Marxist stuff is the crazy wing nut stuff. He's no Marxist.

Like I said, you can say it as loud and as often as you want. Proof is in his books, it's in his speeches, it's in his language, it's in his response to Joe the Plumber, it's in his comments about "shared proserity", it's in his philosophy of "collective salvation", it's in his life's associations with prominant and self-proclaimed Marxists, it's in his upbringing, it's in his influential college professors, it's in his choosing of a Marxist as the man who married him to his wife and who he CHOSE as a spiritual mentor, it's in his comments about America being "mean", "dismissive", and "arrogant", it's in his historical connection to teaching the philosophy of Saul Alinsky in colleges.

You aren't talking to a person with no experience in learning about Obama. I've read his books. I've read his speeches. I've studied his church of 25 years. I've studied Saul Alinsky, and read his books. I've read Frank Marshall Davis. I've read James Cone, who inspired Black Liberation Theology. I've read the philosophy behind "collective salvation", which Obama espouses.

Only weapon you have against me is a very weak one. You simply call me crazy and dismiss the truth. You dismiss the man's entire life. You dismiss his childhood, his upbringing, his CHOSEN mentors, his CHOSEN spiritual mentor and baptizer of him and his children, his books, his speeches, what he means by "fundamentally transforming America". All of it. Jusy bury that head.....

Notice the Romney claim was dealt with quickly and done with. The Birther movement lives on. You don't see anyone of consequence excusing the claim that Romney killed anyone. Just go up a few posts and you'll see excuses for the Obama silliness.

Speaking of this, there is actually a Wiki for the birthers and their whole history. They have become a cult. According to a PPP poll in Ohio earlier this year (http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/2011/PPP_Release_SuperTuesday_305.pdf), 37% of Republican Party members there believed Obama was born in a foreign country and another 21% of members were "not sure." That's a lot of ignorance.

The latest polls have Obama around 48% and based upon his results that is real ignorance.

More than 50 percent of Democrats think 9/11 was an inside job.

A full 22.6% of Democrats said it was "very likely." Another 28.2% called it "somewhat likely."

That is: More than half of Democrats, according to a neutral survey, said they believed Bush was complicit in the 9/11 terror attacks.

Not remotely. Anyone who walks down nutter lane is a nutter. There is not any evidence of Obama being a Marxist.

I doubt your source a lot. A lot. But you won't find me here excusing the nutters who thought it was an inside job. But you can find conservatives excusing birthers and the like.

Unbelievable, you don't get it, results matter and your versions of the results don't match reality. There is such passion for failure and the question is why? What is Obama going to do for you in a second term that creates this passion?

Health care, SS, and medicare are only a few. Besides I want a president who is admired around the world and not be hated like romney would. Remember his trip to england?

Your posts have too much proof to constitute an intelligent rebuttal from conservatives (or anyone looking for facts, for that matter). Thank you again for posting sources with your information.

I thought the first post was perhaps the most hackish thing I have ever seen on DP, then I read this one, and it topped the first one.

Why do so many on the left have what appears to be zero ability to differentiate between policy and personality? It's a continual motif in much of their posts.

Healthcare is a personal responsibility and Obamacare does nothing to assure quality or quantity, SS and Medicare are entitlement programs that has been spent for decades on programs other than Medicare and SS. As for being liked around the world, do you really think radical Islam is ever going to like us? I prefer being respected, not liked.

obama is hated because he didnt have a backbone and push through policies his democratic base support. we wanted universal healthcare, we got a privatised money-glut for the 1% in big pharma/big insurance. we wanted the wars to end, we got long-slow-draw downs and we left 20k contractors in iraq that cost the same as having 200k troops there if you check the figures. obama is the moderate from the black lagoon, hated by even those of us who voted for him >_>.

Healthcare is also a public concern. it is not either or. What happens to some has an effect on others. And Romney wants to keep all of but the method to pay for it. Now that's fiscal responsibility for you! :coffeepap

Look. We've gotten "snippets" of "who" Obama is ever since 2004, when he burst on to the political scene like a supernova. His philosophy is nuanced in BOTH of his books, in his speech, and in his life. To the unresearched eye, his associations, college professors, mentors, etc. seem "coincidental", like you just layed out. But they aren't.

Here's an example. You mentioned his study in "constitutional law". Yes, he studied Constitutional Law. That's great. That's not the telling thing though. The telling things are how he came out on the other side, and how he interprets the Constitution. He didn't come out a Constitutionalist. He came out with a philosophy that the Constitution of the United States was a "charter of negative liberties". That's HIS QUOTE, not mine. He describes the Constitution of something that tells the government what it "cant" do, but doesn't describe what it "can, AND MUST DO" on the behalf of citizens.

Translation: It says what I cant do, but it doesn't stipulate what I can do. LIke Roosevelt, Obama supports what has become known as a "Second Bill of Rights". Look it up, and learn what the "Second Bill of Rights" would guarantee ALL AMERICANS. Then tell me that it's rooted in Constitutional principles. Because it's not.

Many of his closest advisors were self-proclaimed "Marxists". James Cone, who Jeremiah Wright says was HIS mentor, was a self-proclaimed Marxist, who created the philosophy of "Black Liberation Theology". Go study it, because it's important to understand WHY AND HOW Obama chose to sit in Wright's Church, under Wright's "spiritual mentorship" for 20 years. If you don't believe in the theology, how could you make yourself go there for 20 years????

What shocks me, is the left's refusal to discuss and contemplate philosophy anymore. It's impossible to have a philosophical discussion with you liberals. Chiefly, because none of you have bothered to educate yourself beyond surface issues about Obama. Very very few of you can tell me who Khalid al Monsoor is. Very very few of you have bothered to read Obama's own books! Very few of you can tell me who Khalid Rashidi is. James Cone. Frank Marshall Davis.

Anytime this discussion comes up, liberals scream "GUILT BY ASSOCIATION", AND "CONSPIRACY THEORY"!!!! Tell me, how can it be "guilt by association" when Obama CHOSE THESE PEOPLE to be his friends, advisors, mentors, professors, business colleagues, and pastor????? It's no "Conspiracy" either. They are real associations with these people. CHOSEN ASSOCIATIONS AT THAT. So, it's not "guilt by association" either, he CHOSE these people in his life, and throughout his life.

He's a Marxist. He views America as a country that has been tremendously unfair to minorities, and the working class. He stirs up class warfare, and uses an increasingly progressive tax system to seek "revenge" against perceived injustices within society. He uses government to correct PERCEIVED injustices in society. If he were a true "Constitutionalist", he would know THAT'S NOT what government is intended for.

So you see, I can clearly make the case for Obama being a true Marxist, because it's not hard. Read him. Study him. And take his ENTIRE LIFE into account, not just his Presidency. He truly does have a "fundamentally" different view of America than do most Americans.

Why don't you just say you are anti-social except for your own class. You are a social darwinist. So what do I care what you think. thank you.

That YOU'VE found. Tell me, how did you like "Dreams From My Father"? Did you enjoy the book? How about "Audacity of Hope"? Did you enjoy that one too?

Tell me what you like most about either of them.....

Have you even read them? Please tell me you've at least read Obama's own books before you decided to debate someone else who has.....Please don't be another one of "those" guys, who forms opinions based on.....well, nothing more than their own cracker jack interpretations of how they think Obama is in real life.

So, just tell me what you liked most about either of the books.....

It is also a state issue not a federal one. You don't pay for the uninsured in my state and I don't pay for the uninsured in your state. Obamacare assures access to whom? Where are the doctors going to come from to handle the increase in demand? Hint, they will go to the ER's because they cannot get a doctor's appointment, just like MA has right now. That drives up costs that the taxpayers pay. right now the Federal taxpayer doesn't pay for MA healthcare costs nor should they.

Everything you post about Romney is speculation, everything we post about Obama reflects his results. Apparently you don't know the difference.

Why don't you just say you are anti-social except for your own class. You are a social darwinist. So what do I care what you think. thank you.

What I notice about Obama supporters is that they seem to care about what others think about this country but never about how you as an individual are viewed by others. Why is having this country liked so important but you not personally liked not so important?

Don't know about you but seems you always want to make things personal. I grew up lower class, worked hard, and succeeded. Therein lies your problem as apparently you need someone else to make things easier for you. I am sure the feeling is mutual as I stand by my statement about the quality of the Obama voter.

What I notice about Obama supporters, is that they really don't know much about the guy! I'm serious! Ask a liberal if they've ever read any one of Obama's two books. Most of them haven't.

Ask them if they've read Saul Alinsky. Most of them haven't. And I mean the vast majority haven't.

It's amazing to me, that a person, who hasn't even bothered to read Obama's own books, think they somehow have the intellectual authority to tell others that "Obama's not a Marxist". Really? Go read "Dreams From My Father", and get back to me on the topic of "collective salvation" then. Tell me THAT'S not a Marxist principle. Go read all the nice and warm things he's written about SELF PROCLAIMED Marxists, then come back and tell me we're just making it all up.

Please....Obama supporters are vastly ignorant of his writings, his speeches, his upbringing, his CHOSEN associations throughout his ENTIRE LIFE. Not just his college years, but HIS ENTIRE LIFE! Coincidental? HA! What a coincidence that he has CHOSEN that many Marxists to mentor him, advise him, school him, hire him, baptize him, marry him, and work with him for so many years. He's like one giant Marxist Magnet I suppose......no no no....he seeks them out because he's like-minded.
