Sweden has the second highest rape rate in the world. Sadly 1 in 4 Swedish women will be raped in their lifetime. The rape rate is 66 of every 100,000. Over 6000 rapes each year. By comparison the USA is 27 of every 100,000. Almost 80 % of the perpetrators are muslim immigrants. These men are following the example of the false prophet Muhammed who himself was a rapist. Here is a video of Pat Condell talking about the facts of rape in Sweden.

Seriously just stop.

Re: The Rape of Sweden

"Sweden reformed its sex crime legislation and made the legal definition of rape much wider in 2005, which largely explains a significant increase in the number of reported rapes in the ten-year period of 2004-2013. The Swedish police also record each instance of sexual violence in every case separately, leading to an inflated number of cases compared to other countries. Additionally, the Swedish police have improved the handling of rape cases, in an effort to increase the number of crimes reported."

Seems there is a bit of shall we say "dishonesty" in the original post. I'm sure we can expect more of the same.

Re: The Rape of Sweden

Have you considered saying that to the rapists instead of those who do not support the rapes?

Stop with the BS association.

Seriously just stop.

Why DemSocialist? Have I hit a raw nerve? Would you rather not be bothered with the truth backed up by statistics.

Swedes, a once proud people, beautiful and peaceful with a rich culture and identity. That was before Democrat Socialist in 1965 began allowing immigrants into the country. Prior to this Sweden had one of the lowest rape rates in Europe. Theirs was a mostly homogeneous society.Today Sweden has the Second highest rape rate percapita in the world. Around 66 in 100,000. Highest in all of Europe. In fact only South Africa has a higher rate. Most of the rapist are muslim men a fact that both the right and left politically and media have been attempting to hide. You see it's a cultural thing among muslim men who are emulating their example Muhammed who in Medina kept sex slaves. He was in fact a rapist. So how can we blame muslim men. They are a victim of their religion, right? Why am I bringing these facts to light you may ask. Because our president Obama is attempting to bring up to 200,000 mostly muslim refugees into the United States of America. Call your congressmen or woman and ask them to use the power of the purse to defund the refugee relocation program or we to one day thanks to our Democrat Socialist president Barrack H Obama and his minions will become just like Sweden. But be careful, if you point these facts out people will call you a xenophobe, a racist, islamophobe, or a nazi. We are not supposed to go against the lefts agenda. We are getting in their way you know. Well I don't give a rats ass. The security and protection of my country and our people is more important than how some left wing kook views me.

Are you making excuses for rape sir by trying to diminish the meaning of rape. Prior to the influx of immigrants over the past 45 years rape was almost non existent in Sweden. And tell me this, why are most of the rapist muslim men? Is it because Swedes are racist and they are trying to pin rapes on muslims? Quite to the contrary, the media and local and federal politicians attempt to cover up the identity of the rapist. Why? Because to expose them would be racist or more rightly islamophobic?

Re: The Rape of Sweden

In Sweden being a Nationalist is to be a racist. Being proud of Swedish culture is frowned upon. Multiculturalism is killing Europe's identity.

I am not excusing anything. I only did a cursory search of Rape in Sweden and showed your original post to be misleading at best. I have no idea about rapes in Sweden 45 years ago. I do know I won't take at face value anything you post. Have a wonderful evening.

Yes you are correct they did widen the definition of rape in Sweden. Here is what I found out about that legislation.

In 2005, the definition of rape in the Swedish Sexual Crimes Act was broadened to include, for instance, having sex with someone who is asleep, or someone who could be considered to be in a “helpless state”. This applies to situations when someone would not be capable of saying “no”. A typical situation where the law could be applied is if someone who is drunk at a party falls asleep only to wake up and realize that someone is having sex with them.
That would constitute rape according to the 2005 law, and not “sexual abuse”, which was the case before the law was amended. In this respect the new law did not criminalize behaviour that previously had been legal, but rather broadened the definition of what constitutes rape to include a larger number of sexual crimes.

Are you suggesting that the broadening of the definition of rape was wrong. So if you have sex with someone who is passed out without their consent this should not be considered rape? are you serious? I think you should have actually read the 2005 legislation and law before you opened that can of worms.

They probably do have a serious rape problem, but I'm sure you can understand if we don't just accept the flaming pile of xenophobia you threw in with it. Looking at the people emphatically agreeing with you in this thread makes it pretty obvious there are ulterior motives.

If those damn dirty immigrants would be thrown out of our western countries we'd all be in paradise, right? Sweden would be essentially rape free! As an immigrant in Germany all I'm there to do is take their jobs and rape their women, slowly destroying their German culture in the process.

Re: The Rape of Sweden

The Swedish police recorded the highest number of offences - about 63 per 100,000 inhabitants - of any force in Europe, in 2010. The second-highest in the world. This was three times higher than the number of cases in the same year in Sweden's next-door neighbour, Norway, and twice the rate in the United States and the UK. It was more than 30 times the number in India, which recorded about two offences per 100,000 people. On the face of it, it would seem Sweden is a much more dangerous place than these other countries. But that is a misconception, according to Klara Selin, a sociologist at the National Council for Crime Prevention in Stockholm. She says you cannot compare countries' records, because police procedures and legal definitions vary widely.

"In Sweden there has been this ambition explicitly to record every case of sexual violence separately, to make it visible in the statistics," she says. "So, for instance, when a woman comes to the police and she says my husband or my fiance raped me almost every day during the last year, the police have to record each of these events, which might be more than 300 events. In many other countries it would just be one record - one victim, one type of crime, one record." Klara Selin says the statistics don't represent a major crime epidemic, rather a shift in attitudes. The public debate about this sort of crime in Sweden over the past two decades has had the effect of raising awareness, she says, and encouraging women to go to the police if they have been attacked.

If you're a regular on this part of the forum you'll see the "rape capital" claim made quite regularly.
Some of us have posted the same explanation about how Sweden's accounting makes the figures so scary before but there's always some who wish to make capital out of the figures.

Thanks for the explanation HS.

Further fact checking of the claim in the O/P is still warranted of course.

Victimology, incidence by location, high risk behavior, demographics of perps, and so forth.

Yeah, this one pops up almost annually, hasn't that year gone quickly.

Absolutely, the trouble is the way Sweden counts it's incidence makes it seem to stand out above all other countries simply because they use a different yardstick. I have no doubt there are rapes of Swedish women by migrants but as the Swedes don't actually keep statistics on ethnicity of offender we will always have these threads because nobody can prove one way or another that migrants are doing the majority of raping.
