Here is a interesting take on what the president is, and you know he is right and I would further add that all who serve in Washington fall into the bum category, SCOTUS included. The people are the rulers of this country and the bums we send to Washington serve us without question. There are no Kings or Gods who have thrones in our nation's capital, we the people need to start exercising our powers and start to fire must of these bums, including some newly elected tea partiers and republicans.

What's the "newly elected TEA partiers" do that they should be thrown out. From what I can tell, they're sticking to their principles (or trying to).

They didn't cut the budget, at first it was 100 million then 61 million and now only what 32 million, sorry they failed. I just think it's time to stop cutting breaks for politicians of any party and have it known we ain't F'en around anymore. BTW this goes mostly for our gutless repubs and most Dems. Although I am jumping the gun so to speak but, no progress in the next round and my resolve will be cemented, then again who am I..right:)

Technically we have the chance to fire them every few years. It seems as soon as the new guys come in someone wants them fired.

Delta, I really like you but I'm a bit tired of people whining about politicians. WE are the ones who elect them, and ultimately we are the ones responsible.

Especially when it comes to things like the budget, everyone's screaming about how politicians are spending too much and that we should cut cut cut. Then you poll Americans and find out that there is no consensus as to what they think should be cut, except for foreign aid. Ultimately, it is we, the American people, who are responsible for the individuals we put into office. If they are not doing their jobs properly, that likely also says a lot about us, or about the way in which we elect our leaders.

Lets start exercising this power and quit looking at the eye candy...I agree.

Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I now this is like beating a dead horse but I have been around long enough to when things are just ignored, no responsibility, no accountability nor is it asked for, people become complacent and m,y friend this is how we are in the mess we are in now.

Your right.. absolutely correct, perhaps our elected leaders should practice leadership or read the fourteen traits of leadership, Adm. Nimitz once said, "when in command...COMMAND".

I totally agree with that part. But my bottom line is that the American people need to read between the lines a bit, engage in some introspection and stop blaming politicians for all of the country's problems, because ultimately they are a reflection of ourselves, or perhaps our system, or maybe people just need to realize that politics is inherently a dirty business and that's the plain unadulterated truth.

Combine the bum and the dildo side and you end up with the most suitable president ever.

That's like saying President Obama failed because he didn't turn the U.S. into a socialist paradise in the first two months of his reign. Sure, he's moved us a long way down the road but he didn't get it all done. Hugo Chavez is not in charge of our economic policies.

President Obama is quite sincere in his desire to turn he U.S., a country he doesn't care for, into a socialist country that he and his wife can be proud of. And, I believe, there are fiscal conservatives in government that will try and reduce the size and cost of the govenrment.

When incumbants start losing, we will have their full attention. 'Til then? We are their sheeple.
