This is so simple. Why is it so hard to understand?
If you have the power of the House behind you so this doesn't look like a personal claim, and have the votes to have an Impeachment Inquiry, you can present public evidence to the House and would gain support of voters to Impeach. Even if the Impeachment failed the Senate, you would be able to use the information made public during the election that would all but guarantee an election result for the Democrat party.
Bypassing the best opportunity the party has ever had to Impeach by having an Impeachment Inquiry confirmed using the power of the House means you are either stupid, or don't have the votes. All you do by bypassing the House is alienate voters to support your claims. And after 3 years of failed Impeachment claims this looks exactly what it is. No evidence to present and no votes to support.
