Apparently, the Obamas had asked for permission to install so much-gallons amount of propane - and they want to install a commercial propane tank.

The select board approved a request for a 2,500-gallon commercial propane tank for 79 Turkeyland Cove Road in Katama — owned by former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
“We’ve never had a private propane tank come to us,” said select board member Arthur Smadbeck, with select board member Michael Donaroma noting a private-residence propane tank is typically a fraction of the quantity being requested.

This reminds me of the movie "Deep Impact," the scene where-in the character of James Cromwell (a senator?) was prepping for the coming apocalypse.
He knew something was coming that the public wasn't aware of.

Like what? Climate change? Rising sea levels? Rising fossil fuel prices? Exactly what is it the public's not aware of? Oh, that's right, we don't know what we don't know... (cue spy music, cue James Bond... cue Q).

Katama - on Martha’s Vineyard - would be a singularly bad place to be if you’re worried
about climate change or meteors.

And 2500 gallons won’t get very far during a Zombie Apocalypse.

Probably something like propane heat, propane for cooking, maybe a propane pool heater. Or maybe he’s gonna throw one huge ass bbq.

Are you genuinely concerned with what the Obamas have requested? Why?

There is a lot of talk like this, especially economically. Things like another lasting recession and even another depression, but apparently not before 2023. There's also the threat of a global nuclear war and what I feel is an impending civil war in the U.S. Now is the time to prepare.
Just imagine one major impact: No electricity for the foreseeable future from either of those scenarios. With the nuclear possibility, let's be honest, it would be better to be vaporized in one of the initial blasts than live like wild animals until you die slowly from radiation poisoning or eventual starvation.
As for a U.S. civil war, do you see a kumbaya suddenly happening between the two sides of this country or continued deterioration? You have the Cons now denying testimony under oath from people in Trump's administration confirming that they told him there was no evidence of any significant election fraud and Trump continued to lie about it anyway so he could fraudulently collect donations for a fake election fraud fund that actually didn't exist. When you get this far down the cult road there's no coming back. When you continually deny a reality that has been proven, you are ripe for something like going along with a civil war.

While atypical, the usual home size tanks are 500 gallon (but that is for a small single family residence), how big is this house and what appliances will work on the propane?
I could see the need for a 2,500 gallon tank if the house was large and dependent on the appliances that use propane.

In other words, it's not likely they know anything.

Obama doing his part on that carbon footprint :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Are you genuinely concerned with what the Obamas have requested? Why?

Lol - even the folks from that council had commented on the unusual size of it.
What he's into the energy business now? :ROFLMAO:

Anyway -

That's PROPANE, you know!

Propane industry fights for survival in a low-carbon future

Isn't Obama a climate-change guy? Alongside Biden, Trudeau, Macron and Al Gore?
Wouldn't that be enough to be concerned about what seems to be a hypocritical stance?

What's he doing using propane?

Why not use solar windmills?
Didn't he get the UN MEMO on climate change?

Progressives keep barking that the rich always get away with anything. HERE'S A SAMPLE OF THE RICH AND POWERFUL!
But you don't find anything questionable about it?

Are you a progressive by any chance?

I can only guess that your concern is that people should not use propane and neither should Obama. If so, why? Otherwise, please clarify.

They're planning to blow up Martha's Vineyard because that's where Obama's Nigerian birth certificate is buried.

They'd use a cutting torch to open a safe suspected of containing the certificate, burning everything inside, then say the Obama's destroyed the evidence.

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy.

What's all these so-called red alert on climate change when we not only see the rich and powerful going everywhere with their jetplane! They even go on space tours now, too.
And now - look at Obama! How many rich have their propane and giant generators all set and ready? :ROFLMAO:

Based on their behaviour, why should we be concerned about the planet, when they're not?
Like I've read.....looks like climate change is one of the biggest hoax played on the world.

When the rich and privileged start battening down the hatches, it's time to speculate. A bunch of them are buying land in remote island spots.

Obama's got a propane tank for their house. This is some serious stuff.

The same kind of paranoia thing was said about GW Bush when he bought a ton of land in Paraguay over a fresh water preserve. It's like the same shit recycled every so-many years.

Or maybe, just maybe, they don't want to have to deal with bi-weekly or monthly deliveries when it is much more secure to pare it down to once or twice a year instead.
If you have the land and permits, and the security concerns (which they do) I don't see a problem.

Excuses, smoke screens and distractions.

How are the fuel prices these days?

I can’t strangle a checkerboard.

I can’t power rob things from people.

I'd rather have a large propane tank than a monthly bill being tied to a natural gas utility.

^^^Proved my point

Did they say this was on Martha's Vineyard? Been there, no gas mains. You either run bottle gas or you don't have gas.

Trust me, I have gas, and it is bad.

Nobody likes bad gas.

Maybe the more you pay, the more you get to play?
