This morning the left wing cable network MSNBC were trying to compare Hussein Obama to JFK.....The hypocriscy of it all.......How desperate is the left to get the Presidency back? Hussein could not carry JFK's Jock.....

Yeah, how dare they? The whole network, on air, making a comparison like that. Jeez!! I mean, they were both Democratic Senators. they both were young. they both shared a good deal of popularity -- of approval. they both had designs on the Presidency. they are both charismatic ... how can they compared at all? what would make ANYBODY think of these two men in the same context? Who but a liberal whacko with an agenda would compare them at all?

FRED BARNES, THE WEEKLY STANDARD: "You think of John F. Kennedy, well he'd been the House for, what, six years and in the Senate for eight years -- had been around for a long time. And Barack Obama has been, what, two years in the Senate and I'm sure he learned some great lessons in the Illinois legislature, as well, where he was, what, four, six years, something like that."

Lets get one thing straight my Liberal friend, I voted for JFK and Hussein Obama is no JFK in any possible way except in the minds of liberals like you who are deperate to win back the presidency......

Putting people on IGNORE because you don't like what they have to say is weak.

Why debate at all?

I can understand the frustration, but if you put NP on ignore, you miss boatloads of fun! :)

hmmm.

I disagree with you, sixstringhero. what happened here? there was a mention of hypocrisy, and it was pointed out that someone (nameless) of a liberal persuasion (we suppose) compared Obama with JFK. but guess what? a Conservative has compared Obama and JFK too! and guess what else? he did it on, *gasp*, the Fox Opinion Channel.

so where is the hypocrisy? (I don't expect you to answer this question, but by all means, please try, if you're game).

and guess what else, sixstringhero? the debate is over. what is NavyPride's point anyway? that MSNBC is a Liberal network because someone made the comparison? well, a Conservative network did the same thing. is the point that people shouldn't have their own opinions? is the point that people shouldn't state opinions on a cable channel?

but then, did you notice what happened, sixstring? didjya? It appears that you didn't. so I'll fill you in. NavyPride responded to me, saying that Obama is no JFK. well, maybe I even agree with NavyPride. but was that ever the point? and how does one debate comparisons that are mere opinions stated with no backing evidence? and what is the point of said comparisons anyway? I applaud NavyPride's right to say them. but I don't have to read them. and even after I did, I noticed (again) that there was nothing to debate.

here's the thing, sixstringhero, no matter how you slice it, NavyPride has made no rational point. NavyPride has made no sense.

oh, oh, oh, and guess what else, sixstringhero? NavyPride does this all day long every day. but I wouldn't have said that at all just now, if you hadn't attacked me. I'm merely responding to your charges. so, sixstringhero, what does your post have to do with the topic, anyway? I was just politely letting NavyPride know that I wasn't going to respond to his post.

so, here's the crux, sixstringhero, while you're busy reading nonsense, I won't be. and furthermore, sixstringhero, here's what's REALLY weak: not trying hard to explain one's position. not making an effort to perceive things for what they are. being so partisan that you can't think straight. those things are weak. if you think I'm weak because I don't want to read goofball nonsense, then great. great, for you. go on, read it all. I won't label you for doing so.

oh, oh, and also, sixstringhero, I do debate. almost every day. how about a private debate between you and me? the topic can be your choice. I'd even welcome a guitar-related-topic debate. or, are you, ahem, "weak?"

Oh geez that's hilarious. And I bet the leftest are falling for it.

Fred Barnes is a leftist?

And what about these people? Are they leftists?

"If you include Obama's eight years in the Illinois Senate and the four years he will have served in the U.S. Senate by the 2008 election, he would have a total of 12 years of elected experience, which would rank him just behind John F. Kennedy (13)." - Bill Adair, St. Petersburg Times

"Obama wouldn't be the youngest presidential nominee or chief executive. William Jennings Bryan was 36 when he first became a Democratic nominee. John F. Kennedy was 43 when he was elected." - Judy Keen, USA Today

This thread itself is hypocritical.

"This message is hidden because Navy Pride is on your ignore list."

So you ignore a person. fine. But why bump a thread to post that the person is ignored? It's like you took that out of right out of the playbook - "code of the schoolyard"

Navy, I don't necessarily disagree with your underlying beliefs (I imagine we have much in common), but the pettiness in playing up a mans middle name is a major turn off. I think you're better then that.......I hope?

I am sorry if it bothers you and in a normal world I would agree with you but I believe 9/11 changed the world forever.......I would have a very hard time voting for any moslem for president............In the first place they would want to be sworn in on the Koran and I have a huge problem with that......

As far as the name goes, to me Hussein is a disgusting name as is Hitler and Bin Laden and I think any true American would dump those names and remember what they represented........

I feel very strongly about that and I think a lot of Americans feel the same way............

This is a brilliant strategy from the neo-cons. Call Obama - Hussein and pretend he's a Muslim. It worked great for you in 06 too. Keep it up.

It's like shooting fish in a barrel these days.

So would you compare Hussein to JFK?

I tey not ot compare anyone to another. if I were going to do that I would compare myself to Orlando Bloom so that I would gain more favor with the Ladies. I know that that is never going to happen. Why dont you actually stop being rude and actually call people by their names. How would you like it if I insult every republican or those teeth grinding Conservative extremists, like yourself, by Calling them "Morons" every where they walk and are as if it were their names. You probably wouldnt like it. In fact it is for the very reason that I do not other than the fact that I find them to be, most of the time, highly intelligent people.

Personally attacking those you do not like or agree with does not further your cause it only drives people away from it.

I think I'll start hating all white people who have the last names Jefferson, Madison and Monroe. Isnt it obvious? If NP can hate somebody who has no relation what so ever to Saddam Hussein on the weak basis that because they share a common name they must both be murderers and have the same agendas. I can obviously use the same reasoning to say that all white people who share the last names of Presidents number 3, number 4 and number 5 are racist pigs trying to once again enslave my fellow African Americans. You NP are a genius.:rofl . I'm gonna go have a drink while I wait for somebody to try and :spin: this one around.

The biggest hypocrites are always those whose politics revolves around labels and partisanship rather than values and ideals. When people decide they are member of a group defined by ideology and then defend anything that arises from those who claim the same ideology while denegrating anything that arises from those claiming a different ideology, hypocricy is the natural outcome of such a position. It is hypocritical because people are deciding to support or attack based upon nothing any deeper than affiliation andso end up taking stances that often contradict the principles they claim to support.

Todays "conservaties" so often do not actually support conservative values, though, and todays "liberals" often throw their support to the most illiberal creatures on the planet, so as far as I'm concerned, this little battle of labels just reveals a mind that treats politics as if it were a football game.

Obama should be judged according to the positions he takes on issues. If he were associated with an extremist group like the Nation of Islam, or received most of his campaign money from C.A.I.R, I think we would have all heard about it by now. If he were some sort of Islamist, would he be as supportive of Israel as he has been? Would a devout Mulsim be sponsoring bills supportive of gay rights?
.
People are really grasping at straws here.

Wait wait wait. Is Obama a muslim or have we just been lied to?

The depth of NP analysis on political candidates. Doesn't like the name.

Unfortunately, he's probably right, a lot of Americans probaby do think this way.

I don’t know why you guys are worried about Obama? Its going to be Hillary who takes the Dem nomination and it will be Hillary that wins the white House.

Women from all sides will flock to her even if they don’t agree with her policies.

I’m not against a woman president, I think its high time we did have one. I just wish it was someone else besides Hillary.

Just you wait and see.............;)

I think your wrong...........Hillary is one of the most polarizing people in this country.....A lot of people think she is calculating and coniving and truly hate her........

I think most women are disgusted with her in the way she let her husband trample on her and make a doormat out of her after his many affairs........

I can't stand to even look at the pitiful excuse for womanhood.........

Is Hussein Obama running for President?...I don't think so. Now tell me how desperate is the right getting to have another 4 years in charge? Look up Hypocriscy, and tell me you right wingers haven't been that for these past eight (8) years...starting with Bush's two vote stealing events.

So...Is Obama a Muslim? If he is well...I think we already had the al tekkaya debate a few months a go.

Thats a yes right? He is a muslim ! In that case there's mo chance of him being elected. The Cons will make mincemeat out of him on that issue alone.
