The democrats are winning

I am Barack Obama and I have approved this advertisement

I am mitt romney and I am NOT going to release my financials and I pledge a 20 decrease in the richs taxs because they are better human beings than the middle class and I like firing them.

From an 'outsiders' view point Romney looks as unelectable as did McCain. Romney just comes across as quite a Wacko, really...and how is anyone bar the Republican campaign team responsible for what comes out of his mouth? I think he is more than adequate at digging his own holes....

Paul

it's stories like this - bain's continued outsourcing of jobs to china - which will serve to undermine romney's candidacy

Its amusing that NONE of Obama's ads reference what he has done.

That is so untrue!

So, start lying and misleading voters.

that is all your master Obama has done

the dead wife BS is beyond dishonest.

so is claiming Romney pays a lower effective tax rate than most voters

why isn't your master touting his "accomplishments"?

That is so untrue!

that is hilarious

Tell a lie often enough, and someone will believe it. :coffeepap

obviously that is true with Obama's claim that Romney doesn't pay his "fair share"

still stuck on the envy thing?

at least once a day an obama slurper whines about me mentioning envy and every day some obama supporter proves me right

tell me why should anyone pay a higher tax rate than you do Ipast?

Yeah it was funny.

Well, we won't know until Romney releases some more tax returns--as many Republicans have asked him to do.

And both sides rely on those who believe stupid **** (though fair is subjective enough to be debatable).

Its pretty clear that the chicago slander machine aided by a biased media is handing the election to obama.

My question: Is this how we should elect our leaders? by lies and innuendo spread by a one sided media?
For somebody who appears to have not noticed all the slanderous politicians and manipulative commentators/writers on the right, you seem to parrot a lot of their talking points.

This election sucks. The shady tactics from both sides are out of control and equally reprehensible.

Not is hilarious as you ignoring the obvious. When will republicans stop blaming everyone but themselves? It's the mean media. Wuzzies.

"It's Bush's Fault!"
"Look what Bush left him to deal with!"

There is a reality to the media and if they show bias in supporting one 'side' over the other. It can be found by looking to the # of stories they cover positive or negative for each side. Like it or not, that does tell a tale.

Certainly possible.

You put them next to each other and Obama is certainly more likeable.

More likable to whom? The people that already like him?

I see him as a psudo-intellectual. Thinks he is smarter and better than everyone else, but stumbles enough to show it isn't true. Sort of like how a cat can fall off something then act like nothing happened...

why is that-I don't find a failure who benefited from affirmative action and dishonest campaign tactics to be all that likable.

Sure, I never said there weren't some on both sides. But doesn't your side also make excuses for Bush, and how long has that it's Clinton's fault last?

But when it comes to whining about the media, conservatives wuss out more than any party. The whine is constant.

lots of sour grapes and envy in this thread...

Look, Arbo this isn't a partisan bitch fest about records when I make that statement, you can back through every election, whether R and D some candidates have a higher likeablity then others.

Obama is just more likeable to most people in my opinion and that's all it is.

Bush was more likeable then Gore and Kerry.

Clinton was more likeable then Dole.

Reagan was more likeable then Carter and Mondale.

Just my 2 cents.

Having a higher likeability doesn't nessecarily mean you'll win the election but if you put them side by side... without knowing who they were or putting election aside I'd say most people would rather hang out with Obama than Romney, it's not an attack on Romney that's just how I see it.

The types of people who do not have ID are generally those who don't have any need for them. They tend to be those who are less likely to drive: the elderly, the urban poor, and college students.

Then surely you can present a credible source documenting this rampant voter impersonation, yes?

Ok, lets address those people who you claim have no need for IDs. less likely to drive--------who? underage kids? old folks? old people are usually on Social security-you need an ID to get it.
urban poor--------are they receiving some form of govt assistence? medicaid, welfare, food stamps? you need an ID to get them. college students------I am not even going to comment on that because its just too stupid.

there is plenty of evidence of voter fraud, but it only takes one example to corrupt the system.

No one is being disenfranchized by having to prove who they are in order to vote. The only possible reason to object to voter ID is because you want voter fraud to occur so that your candidate gets an unfair advantage--and that is exactly what Acorn did in 2008.

Now, who may not have an ID in the USA---------1. illegal aliens, 2. illegal aliens, 3. dead people, 4. dead people, 5. non existent people, 6. cartoon characters. Those are the categories of voters that the dems are so desperate to have cast their ballots for obama in november. Thats what this is about, stuffing the ballot box with democrat votes.

that claim must be based on an assumption that the media is really even handed

Obama outranks Romney on likability, polls show

(snip)

"Basically, it looks like Romney's personality is holding him back and Obama's likability is helping him," said Jeffrey M. Jones, managing editor for the Gallup Poll. "It seems frivolous, but it matters."

How much it matters is the subject of debate among political scientists. Pollsters note that favorability ratings have been an accurate predictor in the last five presidential elections, including the virtual tie of 2000. Vice President Al Gore went into the election with 56% of voters having a favorable impression;George W. Bush was at 55%.
