The Co-optation of Occupy Wall Street?

On Monday I stated that the while there are worries that the OWS movement could be co-opted, it "[didn't] appear to be true." However, I began to research the matter and it seems indeed that the OWS movement is in the process of, if not already fully, co-opted by the Establishment.

Currently, groups such as the Tides Foundation and Moveon.org have been supporting OWS. Moveon.org launched a virtual march on Wall Street on October 5th and is attempting to co-opt the movement. The Tides Foundation comes in to play somewhat indirectly as they financially support Adbusters, which organized the entire movement. This is worrisome as Moveon.org is financed by George Soros who has a history of aiding in the engineering pseudo-democratic revolutions in tandem with the US government (see this as well) and the Tides Foundation itself is financed by the Ford Foundation, which has been involved in social engineering in the past.

The OWS movement has been infiltrated by the CIA as a man named Ivan Marovic has spoken a the protest. In Serbia in 1998, Marovic helped to form OTPOR ("Resistance"), a Serbian protest group which "used popular protest and peaceful provocation to build anti-Milosevic support in the 1999-2000 period." Marovic helped to connect to "the common youth of Serbia and organized rallies and marches in the lead-up to the September 2000 election that ousted the Milosevic regime." What is most important about the OTPOR movement is its http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=os0xWtohvjo&feature=player_embedded
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=os0xWtohvjo&feature=player_embedded to the CIA and its ties to the US National Endowment for Democracy, an organization which was used to co-opt the Egyptian protest movement during the Arab Spring.

OWS also is connected to Warren Buffet on a matter of policy. The very tax proposal that multi-billionaire Warren Buffet wants is the very thing that OWS is pushing for. The fact of the matter is that Buffet and the Obama administration agree on Buffet's tax plan as "No differences exist between the Obama administration and billionaire investor Warren Buffett on the principles of a White House tax proposal." Thus, the entire Buffet tax plan that the OWS movement and others so readily support plays into the hands of the Establishment.

However, while the Establishment is co-opting the OWS movement, they are readily backing the police as can be seen by JP Morgan's $4.6 million donation to the NYPD in the name of "[enabling] the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple."

It is now a matter of fact that the Establishment is backing both sides of the OWS movement. Unless people become aware of this and throw out any organizations linked to the Establishment in a order to get back their independence, then the Occupy Wall Street movement will be drawn into the political sphere where it will die.[/COLOR]

Not true. Obama and Buffett do not agree. Look at Obama's jobs bill. It increased taxes on those making over $250,000. According to reports, Reid changed this to 1 million. This was a raise in "income" taxes.

While I agree that this would be supported by much of the OWS supporters (Heck, I'd consider it IF every penny went to the deficit), Buffetts arguement is that the problem is in Capital Gains being taxed at a different rate than income taxes.

Buffett has came out and stated that Obama is not acting on his position. That he disagree's with higher taxes on income. OWS likely supports both positions.
