Yet another fevered dream from VySky. Biden, the president who MANDATED that everyone in the military, and every federal employee, get vaccinated, "wants folks to spread the virus".There is only one reason and one reason only Biden would refuse the test. He wants folks to spread the virus so everything can get locked down etc. That’s my opinion.
Yet another post by you of worthless shit. There is only one reason and one reason only Biden would refuse the test. He wants folks to spread the virus so everything can get locked down etc. That’s my opinion.

On October 22, a group of COVID-19 testing experts joined a Zoom call with officials from the Biden administration and presented a strategy for overhauling America’s approach to testing.
The 10-page plan, which Vanity Fair has obtained, would enable the U.S. to finally do what many other countries had already done: Put rapid at-home COVID-19 testing into the hands of average citizens, allowing them to screen themselves in real time and thereby help reduce transmission. The plan called for an estimated 732 million tests per month, a number that would require a major ramp-up of manufacturing capacity. It also recommended, right on the first page, a nationwide “Testing Surge to Prevent Holiday COVID Surge.”
Three days after the meeting, on October 25, the COVID-19 testing experts—who hailed from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Rockefeller Foundation, the COVID Collaborative, and several other organizations—received a back channel communication from a White House official. Their big, bold idea for free home tests for all Americans to avoid a holiday surge, they were told, was dead.

The Biden Administration Rejected an October Proposal for “Free Rapid Tests for the Holidays”
With omicron cases spreading like wildfire, the White House is finally taking steps to make free antigen tests available to all. But this fall, Vanity Fair has learned, it dismissed a bold plan to ramp up rapid testing ahead of the holidays. Frustrated experts explain how confusion, distrust...www.vanityfair.com
Yet Biden does it anywayYet another fevered dream from VySky. Biden, the president who MANDATED that everyone in the military, and every federal employee, get vaccinated, "wants folks to spread the virus".

He was going to led, just like all you led poisoned misfits. There is only one reason and one reason only Biden would refuse the test. He wants folks to spread the virus so everything can get locked down etc. That’s my opinion.

thank you for ending that confusionJust stop
you have confused an ANTIGEN test with an ANTIBODY test.
A rapid ANTIGEN test will tell if someone currently has covid, the ANTIBODY test tells if they had covid in the past
The report, perhaps. The messenger, absolutely not.No one is actually taking VySky seriously, right?

Why did Biden not engage those who manufacture Rapid Testing like Trump did the auto makers re:Ventilators? That's the difference in being proactive vs reactive.Did you actually READ the article?
An administration official who attended the meeting told Vanity Fair that, while everyone present shared the same goal of expanding rapid testing as soon as possible, the plan could not be implemented at that time: “We did not have capacity to manufacture over-the-counter tests at that scale.” The problem, in essence, was twofold: The FDA had authorized only a handful of different home tests, and those it had authorized could not increase manufacturing fast enough.
How effective a plan that can't be executed?
Why did Biden not engage those who manufacture Rapid Testing like Trump did the auto makers re:Ventilators? That's the difference in being proactive vs reactive.
Biden never told us if he tried. That would of made him look good. Being more like Trump in finding solutions instead of excusesHow the hell do you know he didn't? How quickly could those manufactures scale up manufacturing? Can General Motors manufacture rapid tests?
The rest of the article kind of explains that, or tries to. My theory is that they weren’t ready to shift from “get the vaccine” to “take a test before you interact with others.”Why did Biden not engage those who manufacture Rapid Testing like Trump did the auto makers re:Ventilators? It’s a death vaccine. That’s it. Prevents death in most cases. Other vaccines prevent infection. Why force a death vaccine on entire population where death only results in a statistically insignificant small portion of society? The rest of the article kind of explains that, or tries to. It doesn't just protect against death. It also lessens the impact for those infected, decreasing severe effects and hospitalization. It’s a death vaccine. That’s it. Prevents death in most cases. An example of Biden 'following the science' and 'listening to the experts'?There is only one reason and one reason only Biden would refuse the test. He wants folks to spread the virus so everything can get locked down etc. That’s my opinion.

There's also the problematic part of Biden having rejected one proposal but going with another one (which is the current plan) due to concerns around scaling supply to deliver the amount of tests the cited proposal recommended. That said, I don't think the current plan makes it particularly easy for people to get tested because anyone who has ever had to contact their health insurance provider to get reimbursed for anything, knows what a god awful hassle that is.Yet another fevered dream from VySky. Biden, the president who MANDATED that everyone in the military, and every federal employee, get vaccinated, "wants folks to spread the virus".

You can't make this shit up.
The thing is the particular experts in question weren't looking at this from a manufacturing and distribution perspective; in much the same way as what medical experts recommend in a pandemic like this one, is for people to isolate. The government has to then decide what is the most effective method given a broader variety of constraints other than just what experts from a particular field recommend. An example of Biden 'following the science' and 'listening to the experts'?
Just as in foreign policy, Biden's decision making fails.
Also in the news: Water is wet.
Fair, the medical experts are siloed in their specialized disciplines and probably didn't, or were not able to, consider the realities of manufacturing and distribution at that scale. The thing is the particular experts in question weren't looking at this from a manufacturing and distribution perspective; in much the same way as what medical experts recommend in a pandemic like this one, is for people to isolate. I hope Dooce ask ole Red about it. Why would Biden not want Americans to test before the busiest travel time of the year? $$$$$$$
Yep. In much the same way economists would think of this mitigating pandemic issues in a very different way.Fair, the medical experts are siloed in their specialized disciplines and probably didn't, or were not able to, consider the realities of manufacturing and distribution at that scale.
What the article doesn't go into is that the Biden Administration has used the DPA to expedite the production of vaccines and testing materials, but a big part of the problem is the issue with supply chains caused by the pandemic. We would have to know what additional resources would be required if there were to be a scale up in production to what's already in place and if those materials can be obtained. On the other hand, if a decision to proceed with manufacturing and distribution at that scale was made in October, we wouldn't be here now with as much of a shortage as we apparently have, the additional manufacturing and distribution probably coming on line, or nearly online.
I think in this particular case it may not be them getting it wrong, but working with what they have at hand. I think an error in judgment would be if they completely dropped the ball on scaling up production through the means available to them, but there are other constraints. What I do think was daft was Biden stating in an interview that no one saw this coming. Medical professionals have been talking about new, potentially more transmissible variants for a while now; mainly due to low vaccination rates in other parts of the world.Leadership comes with making decisions with partial and imperfect information, and good leadership gets it 'right' more often than it gets it 'wrong'. Biden's leadership seems to get it wrong far more often than they get it right.
Did they have free pre-holiday tests in Russia?
