Basically every time the democrats gain power, they go ape shit ultra far left and lose one or both houses of congress in the next midterms. It happened in 1994, 2010, 2014, and coming soon, 2022. They cannot help themselves. They forget about who elected them and just go for broke.

1 - Biden is an awful party figurehead. No leadership qualities, terrible public speaker. Pelosi, Harris et al not any better
2 - Claimed ability to master Covid was a lie; shut downs widely now viewed as harmful
3 - weak on crime while crime is surging
4 - have no answer but “more spending” while inflation is surging; ridiculous economically illiterate attacks on “big oil”, “big meat”, etc
5 - decades of anti oil and gas development policies which were direct benefit to Putin
6 - effed up Afghanistan withdrawal beyond belief
7 - woke agenda unpopular with Hispanics and school parents
8 - anti-free speech pro censorship agenda has destroyed credibility of Allies in media since censorship has been nakedly partisan

Seems part of the problem was on paper it looked like the had majorities in both houses. But, as it turned out, in practice, Manchin and Sinema just torpedoed them. And the people now blame them for it.
